Fair enough. If May was making the call on this I could see that, but he's not running this search, Dr.C is. You're saying the number is about $1.2 million for either Schertz or Ahearn. $1.2 would make Schertz around 8-10 in A-10 salary. If we are close on Schertz before he sits down with anyone else then I say the number is $2 million. If we sign Schertz it won't be for a bargain, regardless. The most I would pay Ahearn is 500k. No way Dr.C would way over-pay for an unknown commodity. If we land Schertz I hope your numbers are correct—more money for NIL.

    We're not hiring Ahearn

  2. I love our band. Can you elaborate on what type of mental health issues these scenarios caused? I'm assuming all the mental stress came from watching this team and having to deal with staying upbeat and positive when every emotion in your body wants to run away at times. If not, I'm curious what those issues are.

@davidnark started the board on a separate web site.  It just moved over to Billikens.com roughly in 1999/2000.

SignGuy you're 38?!?!??! WTH? Where did time go? Seriously that just blew me away. The only other time I had this feeling was when Roy's boy was all grown up with his own season tickets.

Many of us had other usernames on the old Nark board. I think mine was Captain America.

  4. I had a nice sit down with Coach Tillett and have had some additional follow ups with her as well.  She is great.  Very positive, very humble, and very engaging. She went to work immediately and is doing the things you would want her doing.  She was out recruiting before she even had her staff in place.  She is working hard to get to know the area and the lay of the land in regards to girl's basketball.  She's already been to two out of town events looking at girls.  She's made contact with numerous high school coaches and is working on developing those relationships.  She's been told from a number of coaches that SLU has not been a destination school for a lot of the local talent on the girl's side.  As you might expect, she's looking to change that.

She may not be the big splash hire, but it seems like she will represent the school well.  She's a hard worker and has great energy.  Only time will tell, but I'm excited about her future.

Ford on the postgame:  "Yes, a terrible performance.  They were moving at a different speed than we were.  I didn't have our team prepared.  We did nothing good.  We got to figure out how to play a whole lot better than tonight."

He didn't have them prepared in this must win game on the road??
