  1. Not just that, they seamlessly transition into a half court offense, make quick decisions both in the fast break and halfcourt offense. It always pains me to see us pass and stand still, or worse pass have movement then look and look and look all while the defense adjusts to what movement there is. We need to move through the options quickly, if a pass or lane is there, go. Granted to more skilled offensive players that you have the better, a single player like Suggs does not make Ganzaga.... I know we look at the COVID pause as the problem with this team this year and there's certainly merit to that. However, we were able to run on most teams in non-conference, and never really had to play consistently in the halfcouft offense. Entering conference, the scouting is better, knowledge of tendencies, weaknesses etc is better, the intensity is turned up. Each year Ford's teams have played better as the year went on, sure there were off nights etc, but the trend was improvement, I do not think that happened this year, that I think was due to COVID pause.
  2. Norfolk State is more entertaining than Drake or WSU.
  3. yes one could I have no data. Except for what is public. SLU had a positive test announced the day they were to play Duquesne I believe 12/30. Ford Say he tested positive in January. He was pretty sick but not hospitalized. He says his family never got it. so someone besides Ford tested positive 12/30. The players have said they are not naming the players who had it. Do I think it was a wise idea to have a get together at a bar 12/23...NO. Is it criminal? no. Base on the information I have heard, it does not sound like this was the event that led to SLU's Pause...time to move along to TV and his positive Covid test....
  4. Should the A10 Commissioner be fired? Poor management of the schedule, and ridiculous change of the A-10 tournament which not only kept us out of sight and out of mind selection weekend, but took away potential make up game opportunity.
  5. Drake lost to Moser, While I respect what both teams have done, I would think SLU beats them both on a neutral Court. Drake with their injuries has no depth....whoever said it before is right, they were lucky UNI could not play, and they got to play the semi-final game as their first game.
  6. sprained his against Rhode Island near the end of the game when he went in for a dunk. Made the two free throws and then came out, seemed bother by it the rest of the game on the sidelines. If I recall correctly he was hampered by an ankle injury previously years to and it really impacted his play. I thought in the first half of the VCU games he had one drive and layup, then go body slammed going in for another layup. It seemed like an awkward foul, contact made to his body did not seem to be a play on the ball. I do not know if that impacted him the rest of the way.
  7. Crutcher had a nasty fall last night at the end of the game. He was fouled on a driving layup, and lad hard directly on his right hip. Dayton was down by two with 3.9 seconds left, the then made the first FT and missed the 2nd. Suspect his hip is sore this am.
  8. Jacobs injured foot or ankle in Bonnies game. He played a little bit in RI, but was not very effective, seemed like he did not move that well, and perhaps hesitant,. Did not play in the second half at all.
  9. When he went in for the poster dunk, he had trouble putting weight on his right ankle afterward. Got a tape job, but was not comfortable on the sideline did not play any further.
  10. This would be fun with my Billiken Daughter and Badger Son....! Get it done. One perhaps issue Wisconsin finals week right now...
  11. One other thing, Strickland caught my attention with his passing. Entry pass to Linssen, could go unnoticed but he put it in the perfect spot. Many would not have attempted it, the other was a long bounce pass to jimmerson for a layup. then again there was the double dribble...as Spoon said about H Waksman....”the lord giveth and taketh away...
  12. we will have fans by January. The uncertainty coming out of Thanksgiving is too soon, I do not know what it is like in Kentuck but it is as bad as it has ever been here in Metropolitan St. Louis.
  13. Watched the VCU and half against Memphis, the announcer was asked who he picks to win the A-10. A: "Richmond, No questions". A win today should get attention, even the attention of who ever that Dum..a..s announcer was
  14. He still could be paranoid, the fact that They are out to get him does not exclude paranoia
  15. ahh Dayton escaped out third meeting.....enough said
  16. I agree with you, don't get me wrong, it just how being a Billiken fan has been. Really we should not be surprised that this may well be the best team we have ever had.....and not be able to see a full season....
  17. I don't know, seems it is still hard to be a Billiken Fan. The fact that we seems to have the most talented team ever, deeper than ever and it comes along when we have pandemic and the schedule is toast. That goes along with it is hard to be ......
  18. Looks like an Olympic Medal stand Bronze, Gold, Silver......hmmm
  19. I do not mind them. if it is all or none option I would go with all.
  20. This study is more of a game changer than it seems. Now we have a treatment. Further studies will use this a the control group. We are very fortunate, that this was investigated and had initial trials against ebola. Scientific research of one disease may not initially pay off, but it eventually does. It sometimes takes us on elaborate pathways. Studying HIV has led to treatments for HIV, but also led to a knowledge base that facilitated Hep B and Hep C research, then ebola and to this drug for this pandemic.
  21. because it is a fluff piece that non scientifically discuss in vitro response of the virus to the "aptmer". They have not done any clinical trial to see if there is an effect. In vitro response does not automatically equate to human response.
  22. So I would say that empty beds are not necessarily a sign of hospitals not being overwhelmed. What has been a surprising aspect of this epidemic, has been the patients fear of going to the hospital, rightly so at times for things that could have been managed as an outpatient, but also patients not coming in for symptoms like chest pain or abdominal pain and finding things like MI's perforated bowel late. This was a problem. There are so many elective procedure/surgery related hospital stays that when you stop elective and non-urgent procedures, whole wards are emptied out. ERs and ICU's might be filled and overwhelming but the Ortho floor is empty. Clearly though St. Louis in general has done well with hospital resources. However, I would say that after the first 2-3 weeks, elective procedures should have started back up. At this point the hospital and outpatient clinics were safe. The problem was PPE. Once the PPE is under control, the procedures and hips and knees could have and should have been started back up. I would highlight, they were not stopped because they were inherently high risk of transmission, but because they were a drain on PPE supplies that were lacking, and the anticipated surge which was a high tide and not a tsunami .
  23. additional studies are looking good. Next study results anticipated in may hearsay fro U Chicago has patients with severe disease going home quickly.
