  1. So ....nothing? No online video no way, no how?
  2. Have DirecTV...basic sports pkg...not currently signed up for any online streaming pkg...
  3. Off-court scandals, losses to teams with RPI's in the 300's, food poisoning, weird sicknesses and injuries to Majerus. It has to get better, right?
  4. You're right...I'll leave his intimate thoughts and comments with his 25,000 FB friends off hallowed ground like billikens.com
  5. My whole block shut down because somebody got shot and killed.. There is nthn here for me, God send me back to slu PLEASE??! #BILLIKENPRIDE
  6. Are you guys saying the Post-Dispatch was MORE damaging than what the RFT made available?
  7. Yeah, it's the CBI but how great is this? Loved the defense from Cassity to shut down Green Bay's 3-point shooter. Bring on Princeton and a potential 'best of 3' in the finals??? Bigger crowd woulda been nice. Glad there wasn't a close up of what happenend to Jordan's thumb, don't need to see that. Hope he recovers.
  8. Let's not go too hard on the fans here. Teams, and fans, can be 'off' some nights. In fairness to the fans at the Temple game, it's tough to get electric about a team that makes 1 out of 12 three point attempts in the second half.
  9. My quick two cents: the missed FT's drove me bananas...but I watched a very good game between two strong teams..who could score and defend...in front of a big, on-campus crowd with loud students. If Mitchell's 3 had gone in at the end....we'd be talking about at large bids and maybe being pre-season top 25 next year...I was proud of them last night.
  10. 6 wins in a row in February in the A 10 this year is nothing to sneeze at. Probably won't happen---but you never know. Cornell was in the TOP 25 for much of the season.
  11. Very nice league win on the road. I was never worried. Majerus completely outcoached Derek Kellogg. Ellis, Reed, Cassity looked VERY comfortable. I wouldn't be surprised to see SLU in the "others receiving votes" this week.
  12. The song IS about Caroline Kennedy...but she was never serenaded by the Fenway Faithful...from the Boston Globe: Amy Tobey knows the answer to the ''Sweet Caroline" question. Tobey began working for the Red Sox through her job at BCN Productions, a film and video communications company, having interned for the Boston Bruins. Her assignment was to decide what music would be played at the park from 1998 to 2004. She had noticed ''Sweet Caroline" was used at other sporting events, and she decided to send the sweetness over the Fenway speakers. The song was picked up by fans, and the more it caught on, the more superstitious Tobey became about playing it. Tobey would play the song somewhere between the seventh and ninth innings if the team was ahead, depending on whether she felt the team was going to win. She didn't go by any specific margin of runs, but rather who the opponent was, and her gut instincts. ''I actually considered it like a good luck charm," Tobey says. ''Even if they were just one run [ahead], I might still do it. It was just a feel." In 2002, when new management took over at the park, they requested that Tobey play the song during the eighth inning of every game. ''They liked it and they just loved the crowd reaction with it and stuff," she says.
  13. Goddamn...that was a great way to spend a Saturday!!!! I'm beaming right now!!
  14. They have a tough remaining schedule...I don't see 20 wins. I'm hoping for big home wins against the iron of the A-10, but I don't see them getting 20. 19 doesn't get you in the NIT discussion anymore?
  15. I did climb out of a long exile yesterday to add my angry post. I'll check back in in another 11 years.
  16. Full disclosure: this was the first time I watched a full SLU game this year. Even so, YIKES. After making a sweet pass that led to a WR dunk in the opening minutes, Cody Ellis did nothing. I spent most of the second half wondering about the mysterious patch of platinum hair on the back of the big Aussie's head to pass the time. Has that been explained? WR's a NBA prospect? I dunno about that. The announcers kept repeating that this young SLU squad was 9th in the nation in defense. I s'pose, but that big white fat dude for Richmond didn't seem to have any trouble hitting three's on our D. From my perspective, today's effort smacked of, "F it. We're flying coach, there's snow in Richmond, our coach quit his radio show, there's 34 people in the stands--let's mail it in."
  17. By my unofficial count---Gillen said "St. Louis is NOT a comeback team." 3,459 times.
