The anonymous friend who gifted $45 K to buy extra hoops for free-throw practice, the road trip to Iowa today to get a recruit before he lands in the Big 10, the advice he received from fellow Chase tenant Tony LaRussa. Wow....thanks Billikens!!

Been hearing the same five factoids on the Bills by various TV teams this season. Over/under on discussion about Jordair Jett's name? Over/under on what a Billiken is? Over/under on mention of Kwamain Mitchell's "off court troubles" last season?

I think he was the difference today. On the bench with 2 fouls in 1st half---we got creamed. He's on the floor first part of second half, we come back. He goes out with about 4 left and never comes back in. Why?

Thanks for the posts, all. Have to say, I'm a little skeptical of Manning, he looks awfully frail. We'll see. Glad to see SLU is coming back with so much!

Majerus said the recruit from Indy is on a HS team with w/ another kid who is going to Indiana---and the SLU recruit is better. Who is he? Also referenced a Chicago-area recruit who will play immediately. He also said there are two freshman on this year's team that will make everyone wonder, next year, why they never got in this year. Who?

Pretty sure 24 is. I know they won 27 and 25 in the Bonner years, but they had 4 wins in the NIT both of those seasons (87, 89).

I'm sure he's fine, and everyone is saying he's fine. But since this is a fan chat board, I'll just say what I think a lot of people are thinking. This is worrisome.

My favorite moment from this interview came when Majerus suddenly wanted to revisit the Vietnam debate, and pointed out that, if the war had gone on any longer, he would have been a pretty easy target.

According to PD, Majerus offered Kyle chance to start final home game, but Cassity declined, not wanting to disrupt team chemistry. Still don't understand what happened to Cassity's game this year. Recall seeing him slash to the hoop and get to the rim in previous years. I don't think I saw him get a layup all year.

Will always have a special place in my heart for that 93-94 squad. That said, their amazing start that year sort of worked against them down the stretch. They finished 23-6 but finished 4-5 over their last 9 games, starting with a bad loss at Dayton on Feb. 13. I don't see this team fading like that.
