  1. Newberry ... I love to see you post ... your incredible wit and your obviously priveleged inside information are always such a pleasant read for me. Now please go get some rest ... I know you must have been up all night to come up with that fabulous line Pizzotti Sucks, and then to follow it up with Fire Pizzotti, she is worthless. WOW... that is all I can say WOW ... Can I borrow some of your lines sometime ... I promise to give you credit. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  2. Anyone going out anywhere to watch the game tonight? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  3. I think it would be great if AB became an asst under UB ... but I am glad it didn't happen right away. UB needed this time to show what he could do. He did not need to be looking over his back. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  4. Larry has been hurt lately ... trying to work through it ... but be careful of this bet Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  5. It also seems that against certain teams or players ... our forwards don't go after the rebound ... they concentrate soley on keeping their man off the board and the guards go after the ball. I've noticed this numerous times and think it is a brilliant strategy if it is in fact true. For example if Chris is guarding a bigger guy ... he is better off just keeping him off the ball rather than try to keep him off and go for the ball. I think Chris's rebounding totals reflect this also. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  6. I really missed Claggett ... I think he would replace Mo Jeff. in my list ... Sorry but I wouldn't put Highmark in the top 5 ... probably 7th behind Mo Jeff at 6th. You guys don't want to list your 5. How about if I put SPUMAC in the thread Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  7. I disagree that 99% of the coaches sit a player the rest of the first half regardless of who the player is or game situation. I think 99% would like to but more than half will make adjustments according to the player and the situation in the game. In Charlotte, I would have put Izik back in ... with instructions for him to back up a step on D. His long arms would probably allow this and the space would have prevented his man from taking him to the hole. If his man hits a couple of 3's than maybe I sit him ... but I give him the chance. Tom sits unless they start to pull away in the 1st half. At SMS ... Reggie plays with specific instructuctions to be very carefull ... no chances. Either way ... You have to take a coach as a whole ... and I support Brad 120%. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  8. I agree with both David and Roy. I can't wait until the day comes when we won't even have to think about will a freshman get any minutes. I am not even dissapointed in JJ not playing ... I'll have some expectations for him next year and then to be a solid starter by his Jr. year. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  9. I think you are now the official model for Billikens.com Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  10. that looks great ... hope we ger the defender he has some size. National signing day is this coming Wednesday. I think they listed local committments the other day Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  11. To continue on a comment made by Roy on a previous thread You are down by 1 10 seconds left ... which current or former Bill do you want to take the shot ... list your top 5 in order Mine would be 1. Marque ... best in the clutch ... proven over and over 2. Larry ... best offensive player I've seen in a Billiken uniform 3. Justin ... very balanced able to score inside or out 4. Reggie ... Great shot ... decent drive 5. Mo Jeff ... ability to get to the hole or pull up Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  12. Thats a nice subject to give us something besides SPUMAC to discuss. I am going to start a new thread Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  13. This game was officiated horribly ... but we still had too many blown chances and bad plays. We will not win on the road if we do not play smarter. We were so worried about denying their 3 pt shot that IMO we played a little to close allowing them much easier penetration. IO certainly can give his man a little space and still contest the 3. They had been averaging 22.5 3's a game while shooting 33%. We held them to 3-14. about 8.5 attempts and over 10% less than their normal percentage. I wish we would have let them have their attempts and stopped their penetration and their ability to get the ball inside ... they would not have shot 35 free throws and been able to penetrate so easily. Either way we had a game plan and it seemed we executed it defensively hindsight is 20-20. The reason for this loss was our second half turnovers many of them at very inoportune times. 14. Thanks Bauman ... I left before I read this ... went to Sportszone ... we were relegated to a smaller TV ... for the Kansas game ... even though there were about 8-10 Billiken fans there. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  15. Yes I saw it ... I told my brother who is here from Arlington Tx. that was our shirt. Way to represent !!!! Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  16. 1st half fouls 11-5 and they got three of theirs in the final 2-3 minutes. TF's second foul was a terrible call ... took him out of the game and they started to make the comeback. With that said we had the chance at the end and turned it over or missed an open look. TF missed another front end of a 1-1. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  17. Anyone watching the game anywhere tonight? What was the name of the other bar besides Sportszone that shows the Bills games that was in South County or city? Do they have Big screens? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  18. Just for info ... I tried to register on tiger board with the handle slufanskip. It said I would be sent a password within a couple of minutes ... it has been 24 hours ... no password. They don't even let us register with a SLU handle Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  19. And right now SLU is the hot story ... if we are talking about positive articles. If we are speaking of negatives ... SPUMAC is the hot story Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  20. 21-9 in CUSA ... we are in. I'll gamble on that Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  21. How can you say going after Grimes ... if we really did go that hard after him ... was a mistake. Do you know specifically how hard we went after him, or how soft or late we went after Shaw? You say anyone who went to a game with Grimes knew he wasn't interested ... Do you know what Kalen said to Brad behind closed doors? I'm not trying to get on you ... I just don't see how you could call it a mistake unless you really know the inside information on what was said or happenning. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  22. I agree with what you are saying ... but 30 miles is pretty narrow. How about 50-60 miles Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  23. Clearly you didn't watch the game ... he was moving forward to the right before he spun back left. Or maybe you did watch the game in your rose colored glasses. I know ... you also thought Marquette was innocent in the S. Miss home game Bull$h1t Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  24. As far as this weekend with Lisch ... isn't he allowed to make personal contact with Kevin only so many times a year? He probably sent Kevin a hand written note as we know he always does ... explaining to Kevin that he wishes he could be there to see him play ... but would rather spend the visit when they can spend more time one on one. Kevin seems like a smart kid to me. I would bet he understands ... and may not be so impressed with the Johnny come lately coaches Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  25. I think there is a big difference in going for the top recruit who is local and the one who is not. We must go after every local player we want ... and expect to win, especially if the recruit, such as Lisch, has expressed a desire to stay close to home. Most of the recruits Romar was chasing were from far away. We have at least as much to offer as the other local schools. A program on the rise, a new arena being built and the chance to be a local hero in your home town. For those non - NBA recruits we should have as good a chance as anyone.
