  1. Hey Tonka ... it's been a while. Opened up on Mar 1st ... off to a pretty good start. I'm on the corner of Arsenal and MorganFord. Stop by if your in the neighborhood. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  2. Don't they still give you those reports in the military that explain how the $2000. per month you make is rally $50k per year. I feel you should be paid according to what you think you might accomplish ... Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  3. We were waiting to make sure all posters were willing to donate 20% of their annual salaries ... I know a guy like you doesn't come cheap. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  4. I agree ... there will be plenty of playing time for our bigs. 2004-2005 ... TF will start with IV backing up BH will still be a true freshman and developing ... if he turns out to be able to earn minutes the better for us. Depending on IV's continued development we also may see him and TF on the floor at the same time. the 4 will also have VN, IO and JJ 2005-2006 ... IV or BH at center I would suspect IV with BH backing up, but I don't want to sell BH short, with a year under his belt who knows who will be better ... if he is good enough to challenge IV for the starting role, all the better for us. The 4 will be VN, JJ plus any new recruits ... a lot of experience there at that time as they will all have another year under their belts 2006-2007 ... How good could we be at the center during this year with IV as a sr and BH as a jr. The 4 we will still have JJ as a sr plus the recruits from the previous year and the new ones. Our guards ... I think we are all excited about what we have coming for the next 4-5 years ... even if we lost TL we are looking good as there is no reason to believe UB will not continue to bring in at least the quality of recruits he has been getting ... I tend to think as we improve our recruits will continue to get better. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  5. I think IO is a much better 4 than a 3 ... watching him I can see why the lure for him to be a 3 was there ... but for whatever reason ... his outside shot doesn't happen and his strides are too long going to the basket and he loses the ball alot. In close he has shown the ability to use his quickness to his advantage ... He just needs to be more consistent. He will probably add a little muscle this summer also. I would worry a little about our ability to defend a taller 3 with a 3 guard lineup. Is this Alexander kid strong like Josh? ... If not that will cause problems ... if he is he may be able to get a little physical and cause problems. I hope to hear the news of his official committment soon Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. 6. Where did his buddy Rowley go? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  7. What an embaressment he is. I will be very dissappointed if he remains the coach. I will still probably still go to see a couple of games to watch Justin play ... but Floyd Irons gets no respect from me. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  8. He looks like a good find ... I say get him also. RB is a Sr. and DC is still a huge question mark. You cannot have too many guards that can score. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  9. Rich ... I just noticed ... your Soccer quote is from the Columbia encyclopedia ... what the hell do those guys down there know about anything besides the distribution of illegal drugs. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  10. I can't imagine what LA would have to give up to move up to a top 5 pick or maybe even higher ... what if they got the 4 pick to get him and he was picked 3rd. In the NBA there is a huge difference between 5 and 25. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  11. Matt Oldani ... not Dan. I also think a lot of him. When I first started going on the road trips and to many soccer games I was usually alone. Matt always went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and to let me know that he appreciated my support. I don't know though that he leaving was or was not any unhappiness with SLU ... maybe just a better opportunity with more responsibility. I know Matt reads the board once in awhile ... hope you are enjoying your new job ... come out to a soccer game or something once in a while. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  12. I have mixed emotions about Doug leaving ... there are things I like about him and things I dislike. This may not be a bad time though. We are a program on the rise and will attract many good applicants. New blood may establish different relationships and have different ideas with fund raising and therefore get the ball rolling a little quicker. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  13. Hell ... I didn't even know what an avatar was until this thread. Do I owe anyone anything for the education? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  14. 2 stepdaughters 9 and 13. The 13 year old plays basketball and volleyball ... but isn't much interested in watching. I'm sure she will become intersted in cars very soon. Congrats on your new son. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  15. Thanks Roy ... I was just messing with you ... I know you aren't being personal ... you are correct though that there are very many snakes in the used car business ... sometimes it makes it tough because people come in and they have been told so many lies that when you try to be straight with them ... your deal doesn't look so good. I don't want to conduct business on Billikens.com ... but if anyone ever needs any assistance ... or info or advice on a deal or the value of a trade or whatever ... feel free to ask I will do anything I can to help ... I think at 42 I am a little old to marry yours or Narks daughters ... besides I don't think my wife would like it. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  16. Roy, Roy, Roy ... we don't want Pat in the used car business ... those of us who are trying to run a good clean ethical business are trying to get rid of him now. Maybe he could get into Law or something like that ... maybe home remodeling. I'm sure there is some place for Pat besides the used car business. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  17. I saw him twice during his Sr year, both games Irons had to pull him off the court and get on him for lazy D and just standing around. I was very unimpressed. I will say that if he can score 20 a game in a league with the talent of Jeffers and Love ... that is impressive. Haven't they just played a couple or three games though . Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  18. Thanks for the info ... With no MLS team in Stl and just less time overall I do not follow Pro soccer as much as I used to or would like to. I try to stay current with the US National team and the younger squads but that is about it. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  19. I'm not sure if it is fact ... but I read or heard somewhere that Freddie Adu is the highest paid player in the MLS at 500k ... My understanding is that he could have made much more in Europe. Any one know if that is true? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  20. I agree 100%. I am surprised when some of the lower basketball leagues such as the USBL when they began said they were not going to go after high school players ... I don't understand why not. There are so many players who do not want to go to college but are not good enough for the NBA. Some of them with experience may develop into NBA players ... if not they can play basketball for a living and make a little money ... probably more than they would make with only a high school diploma anyway. As they mature they can still go to college if they choose. Those type players get lost in the shuffle. Ricky Clemens is an example ... if there was an alternate route to the NBA ... would he have been attempting to go the college route? Our own Jeremy Biles from a few years ago ... I'm sure there are many more instances. I for one paid to see the Swarm and will pay to see minor league basketball again. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  21. I agree ... I am disapointed that I did not get too see any spring games ... did anyone? Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  22. I'm a soccer poster and I still don't get why the soccer posts bother anyone or take up extra time. Almost every thread pertaining to soccer makes it clear in the subject ... so just scroll past. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  23. I saw that all star game and Evans looked healthy ... he was also in the dunk contest. It was very hard to judge his basketballs skills though in a game like that. Before he got hurt there were some big schools after him. If he goes juco and ends up being a stud than he may not want anything to do with SLU for not giving him the chance. Based upon what I saw ... he is very athletic and very lean. He can get up. I would have no problems taking him at this point ... but I would guess if Brad wanted him he would have signed him as soon as Tommie dedcided to go to prep school Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  24. I wouldn't have a problem if student atheletes had a little leeway during the season. They spend an awful lot of time in practice and playing games. They are a major revenue source for the school and accomadations should be made. Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
  25. Dwayne will be the best point guard you have seen in a Billiken uniform in many years beginning with his freshman year. I for one will not be shocked to see 10 and 5 next year Official Billikens.com sponsor of H. Waldman
