  1. I agree Adam’s is the best defensive mid. However there will be games where user defense in trade for more offense at the position makes sense. I’m just loving the fact that we have so many attacking options. Over the last 30 years, the US sometimes seemed like a team with no real attacking kids and 763 defensive mids.
  2. Balogun is clearly better than any other 9 we have. His run and movement off the ball for the 2nd goal was fantastic. He has the ability to make a play on his own. Just 2 games but imo it doesn’t appear close. Reyna was fantastic. The trio in the middle of McKennie, Reyna, and Musah was so much more dynamic offensively than when Adams is there. It’s a nice problem to have and match ups may dictate who plays moving forward. Reyna is clearly the the best creator of the 4. The Reyna on the wing idea should be over.
  3. Reyna has to just get past it. It’s not like he was innocent in the entire thing. I didn’t know it but they just said Pulisic and Weah spoke out in favor of Greg. Which says if a division exists they’re clearly in the coach’s camp. And Reyna isn’t our best player. He may eventually be that but he isn’t right now. Pulisic came out today and has been very good. I love watching Dest. Sometimes you say WTF? But he almost always makes you smile with his flair.
  4. Pulisic has been dynamic. I like the middle 3 of Reyna, Musah, and McKennie, no knock on Tyler but it games where we don’t need as much of a defensive presence or ball winning, the 3 today allow us to play more on our front foot. We’ve looked pretty good today. Should have 2.
  5. I’m indifferent. I don’t know who else and I thought we played well in the WC and he gets credit for that, I dislike some of his use of middling MLS players but the goal was to get to the WC and advance. Goal met. The Reyna situation just seemed to be handled bad by so many people including GB. I’m not sure there’s an explanation I could get behind or understand why he would tell Gio before the WC his play would be limited. The players though seem to like Greg and that has to count for something.
  6. The Athletic is reporting that the USMNT is bringing back Berhalter
  7. I’m not certain but it seems to me it was quite a bit before that. He would get called a tool, then someone, many times me, would claim we quit recruiting him. My memory says it’s been more than 10 years but hell, I’m old and the years seem to fly by fast
  8. If this guy played for us last year with these stat's this board would be trashing him non-stop. Hell we trash a lot better players than this every game. Especially with 110+ D1 games under his belt. Yet he plays for someone else so we want him. GP MIN FG% 3P% FT% REB AST BLK STL PF TO PTS 32 25.3 35.9 29.8 82.3 3.9 0.8 0.4 0.6 3.0 1.6 9.0
  9. Except for the stupidity that permeates this board. I'm clearly an idiot for continuing to check in every once in a while
  10. Why would Travis need an assistant to be in his ear? Hell, he can just read Billikens.com to get all the strategic advise he could possibly want. If you have an assistant with his ear you take the chance that assistant doesn’t agree with Bills.com.
  11. Hannah Smith seems like an ideal outside back to me. I thought this all last season. I believe it’s where her most upside lies
  12. I love the way you were able to start another fire coach thread by just having a different title to the thread. Smart
  13. The real misconception is thinking that it matters what people (besides big donors) who follow the program think. Everyone complains but I guarantee you very few do anything more than complain. I’d bet the do very little more than complain list includes you
  14. You can’t think that here. When players play poorly and we lose it’s bad coaching (except sometimes it’s also bad Yuri). When players play well and we win. It’s all due to the players
  15. It’s funny when you bring up the fact Ford has a better winning percentage than Majerus there are reasons why. However, when it comes to Travis the reasons become excuses.
  16. I’ve said the same thing all year. An entire team that is dependent on Yuri to create for them. I think we thought Perk could be the guy that was not dependent and that just has not turned out to be the case. Like you my biggest disappointment with Yuri is that he still can’t keep defenses honest with his 3 and that despite the hype defensively he’s not been much better at staying in front of his man than Gib, Perk, or Pick allowing opposing guards to get in the lane too easily. Once a guard gets beat someone has to help generally leaving an open shooter.
  17. Leaders come in all types. Some are vocal, some are quiet and lead by example. I'd bet those close to the team and at practice daily disagree. That wasn't your precious statement though and honestly, I think leadership is hard to judge from the outside looking in. I've knpwn and witnessed very vocal people that looked like they were leaders from the outside, yet had little respect and weren't thought of as leaders by those supposedly being led
  18. This is just a ridiculous statement. Has he made bad decisions that contributed to a loss? Sure, so has every college basketball player in the country and he's contributed more to wins than any player on the roster. He hasn't had any larger of an effect on losses than GJim's poor shooting in big games. Maybe you should review some of the losses.
  19. Agreed when your passes can’t make your shooters hit open 3’s in the big games. WTF
