  1. The video posted today by Ankiel show just how out of line your comments are, writing off the young man based on a video you thinks disqualifies him from being a great addition to the Bills. Wen shouldn't be writing a young man off before he even gets here. Also, I guess this answers the question of do players, recruits and their families read Billikens.com. .
  2. Ok St, at #53. Bills will be in top 50. Good job moving to a better MBB school, Travis.
  3. Jess Preusser cornering the ball to Lyndsey H. has been going on for at least 6 years now. including Club and Nerinx Hall games. Good job ladies !
  4. Hoping for good news regarding Larson's injury. She is a very important, key piece of the team this year. I assume she will not be playing in the Richmond game. I guess we won't get any official word until the team returns home and she can be examined by a SLU doctor.
  5. 3-0 loss to SMU. Disappointing start to the season.
  6. Come on man. Get your priorities in order! I guess I still don't understand why it is more than a couple of minutes work to insert the names of our commits at the top of their recruiting year-no need to move their write up, just list their name at the top and leave their analysis in with all the other offers. No big deal, if it involves lots of work for you.
  7. Question for Mods or Pistol: Why are the committed players in the 2023 class not listed at the top as the signed players are in the 2022 listing of all the offers. It seems like future year commits were included at the top of that years list previously. I went to the 2023 list to verify who we had received verbals from, expecting to see them at the top. Instead I had to go through the complete list of names and write up to find them. Was that an item that was changed recently? Not a complaint, just a question.
  8. With 3 returning players, MIZ comes in at #62, 9th in the SEC. I know gates has a couple of good recruits, but he better get them playing together quickly, although if I recall they have a OOC schedule filled with Little Sisters of the Poor quality teams. Butler 63, K-St 61. Maybe the two recruits out of STL a couple of years ago should have picked SLU, if they wanted to go to a better program, with a better chance of going to the NCAAs
  9. The comment in the walk on thread and Stu's tweet made me go to the roster page on the official SLU MBB website I think there are some no brainers as starters: Yuri, Gibson , FO and Perkins which leaves only one spot up for grabs. Based on the opponent, I think Pickett will get the nod if we need a #4 type player or Parker if we are ok size wise but need another player with guard-type skills. First off the bench is Fred Thatch Jr. That group gives us a strong first 7 with some real depth: Jake K., Kramer, Thames, Cisse and TJH, able to come in off the bench. Not listed yet is Rivera, who is pretty much an unknown, but has a lot of talent in front of him. Maybe the deepest roster TF has put together at SLU.
  10. They have had a football (D2) level program for years so the cost of moving up to D1 is not nearly as great as moving into the OVC group of regional teams. Starting a program from scratch fighting for top recruits with MO and ILL is a different story. And btw, Lindenwoods financials are much larger than you would guess them to be.
  11. I would expect him to do the Billikens' games since the radio listeners for LU football will probably top out at 100, all of whom will be family members of players. It's a sign of how important this job is for Rammer since the big LU announcement doesn't even mention what station will be airing the games. Let's see: football game for 100 fans on a Mom & Pop radio station vs Bills on KMOX. Humm that's a tough one !
  12. Also, congrats to the whole program on being ranked 15th in the country, which I believe is the all-time high ranking for the Women. Let's not let up in the game at Xavier this week.
  13. Maybe it's semantics, but I don't think I "wrote off" the 3 teams you mentioned. I predicted a loss to those 3, all of whom are high quality teams. It's no disgrace to lose to them and it would be nice to get a W against at least one of them. Regarding the SOS, the A 10 schedule is what it is. A few good teams but overall not a group of games to build a good SOS on. Our SOS will be helped by the teams you cite, although Miami, the likely highest ranked team in that mini-tournament is not a certain opponent. Outside of that pair of games in CT, our only chance to get big time W's is Memphis and @ Auburn. A win at Iona would be helpful but the home games against the 3 MVC teams and a down Boise State. along with the buy games does not make a good schedule as far as I am concerned. Hopefully we win the A-10 automatic bid, but if not we will need more than a win against Maryland on a neutral court, @ Iona and wins at the rest of our Chafitz games, except for a loss against Memphis. If we beat Memphis, and @ Auburn then we have a real good shot at an at-large bid, if we need it. Hey it was just my guestimate at our record. If we do better then wonderful.
  14. Hopefully that will translate into 3 or 4 teams that might be candidates for an at large bid . I would think, at this point that the following teams would be in the discussion for a bid if they didn't get the automatic one: UD, SLU, VCU and possibly Loyola. I do think the days of the A-10 getting more than 3 bids will be unusual. Contrary to the excitement of some posters, I don't think our OOC schedule is tough enough to carry much weight on Selection Sunday, unless we have an outstanding A 10 season. Too many MVC teams and only 3 or so high Q1 opponents. Memphis? , maybe one in the multi-team event and @Auburn. If we beat Drake at home, I can assure you that, that will not move the needle when the Committee is looking at bubble teams' big wins.
  15. Right below Drake, at number 67 is Maryland, who we play in the early season event. MD is losing its top 2 scorers, one of whom we were familiar with, Fats Russell. MD is picked 9th in the Big Ten. It seems to me that Miami will be the favorite to win that event. As I look at the remaining teams I am hoping we come in as part of the 30-40 group. It is nice to be rated ahead of teams like Cincy, Louisville and Syracuse.
  16. wg, we have the same 4, A-10 losses. I agree with your number 1, 3 and 4 but not so much with the schedule being so difficult (2). I see only 4 challenging games, Memphis, @Auburn, Maryland and whichever we play of the Miami/Providence duo. Boise St. is supposed to be down this year and I can't call our MVC games as tough. If we are as good as we think or hope then we should be able to beat any Valley teams, especially at Chafitz. One game on the difficult/non-difficult bubble is @ Iona.
  17. Me too. I would love to renew our old rivalry with Bradley
  18. I am seeing 23-7, not counting Paul Quinn. Losses: Memphis, Maryland, Auburn, @UMASS, @ Dav, @ Dayton and @ VCU
  19. I doubt Rivera get enough minutes to blow up this year.
  20. I kinda like our two JUCO guys, P & P. I see 30 pts per from them, combined.
  21. Imagine if you were the title name in this thread and was looking for information about the Bills and their fan base. You would have to be scratching your head and wondering what you have gotten yourself into. Any chance the mods can move all of the non-recruit posts into a separate thread? This is really not a good look for Billiken fandom. When I checked back on this thread every once in a while, hoping newer post have something to do with our new player all I find is a debate about personalities of posters, Come on, guys and gals, we can do better than this.
  22. Seems like you are hinting in the next week or in Jan rather than in the 2023 class. Correct?
