Good post. Only disagreement with it is Jim Crews being a great coach. I still get PTSD flashbacks of Yarbourgh doing his 'coast to coast' and then getting jammed. I maybe way off on this but wasn't it Bondi did not want to spend the the NBE entrance fees to get into BE back in 2012 but it should been May's job to sell it and explain the huge potential of being in that league. We also blew the opportunity to get in the old BE back in 2006. We had great ADs in the past with Yow and Albus. They had the insight of the time and knew how to think out of the box. But unlike today, they worked with very little support and resources making their results more impactful. We need to replace May with someone at that level.

I was in attendance. Recall also the year before IU was in the NCAAs. Attended those also. If you recall Memphis was in the finals. A few weeks prior we blew out Memphis at the Old Kiel. Shame that team was not selected for the NIT.

Yea but just the previous year (Kansas-UNC-two of the glamour blue blood schools) was one of the highest. I would think that your average casual fan, who maybe watches 1 or 2 games during regular season wants to watch a team he recognizes or reads about.

Looks like nice weather for this evening game against Lipscomb here in Nashville. Sunny and in the high 70s. I was worried because the weather here has been brutally hot with deluge thunderstorms in the late afternoon. Plan on making it up to the game. Been awhile since I seen the Bills play soccer. Local corporations usually give to the local university. Monsanto Hall-the chemistry hall & McDonnell Douglas (which was around when the building was built) Hall-Parks College. I seem to recall when I arrived at SLU, the Busch Student Center building was only a few years old. During my junior year (72-3) the administration finally relented and they opened a bar serving adult beverages. It was stipulated when building the Student Center, if they opened a bar, the beers had to be A-B products. They did.

Interesting, several transfers from other A10 schools. Also, a number of international commitments. I will be at the Lipscomb game in Nashville end of August, will how they blend in. Lipscomb will be no push-over. I see last years RPI had them at 13th. SLU was 23.

Agree, Peyton always seemed to have way with us, especially away in Davidson which I was able to witness. I just recall that Davidson game because it was one we should have won. Another sad part was it was one of our better attended games with almost 9400 in attendance. JAG in that game seemed to not miss by dumping 27 pts on us with a .750 FG %.

seem to recall Davidson Jon Axel Gadmundsson almost single handily beat us at home soon after we dumped his brother.

I agree with one addition, you need a good x & o coach. Every year you find a St Peter's, Loyola-C, Butler, GMU, VCU, etc advancing deep in the Tourney. Coaches of those schools all bolted after the success. We, obviously have the resources to find such a coach.

Seems like Carteare was here the in last century. I don't believe anyone on the current roster played with him. Not even Jimmerson Which is probably the only way it would work.

Funny, St Joe's were the #1 seed. They swept them during the conference season. Now, Davidson & VCU, they did not do well against.
