Guess her thought is if we can beat them then root for them to win it all. Their HC May is in for a big payday regardless what happens to FAU from here on out. He won't be making only $400K next season only question is where will he be?

Now she's actually rooting for Florida Atlantic to win it all. Kind of cool that 2 Florida teams are in the Final Four. If the Final Four happened to be in Florida I'd probably take you up on the offer. Florida is in Boca Raton and lots of rich people live there so you might be able to get rid of them to one of their fans. My wife's last job was as a School Nurse in Boca at one of the largest middle schools in the country. Best of luck to you getting rid of your Tix. Two teams from Florida in the Final Four, too bad Final Four is not in Florida. That would be nuts if the Final is Florida Atlantic against Miami. My wife and daughter will be rooting for Florida Atlantic as one of the places we lived in Florida was Coral Springs and my wife was a school nurse in Boca Raton home Florida Atlantic.

Works for me The A_Bomb...those that only want fluff and Everything Nice and Sugar Puff in Billiken Hoops Land is Wonderful and and no adverse conversation criticizing Billiken Hoops sounds like what those fools want on Billikens.com. Many of them have zero interesting suggestions to add about how to get the proper change other than more of the same...have to stay the course Forever. That's not how it happens at other competitive University sports programs so why should it be at SLU? Appears there were some of the Boosters recently that apparently were feeling the same way. The product has been static/stale and not reaching the NCAA Tourney Goal enough. Dissent is a healthy thing and should keep decision makers on alert...change needs come soon!

Don't know anything about him, but T Boone when he was alive was deeply involved in OSU and their athletics. Too bad we don't have a super invested rich sport fan with T Boone type money at SLU...things would be different!

Yep T Boone was alive and well when Travis Ford had that losing season at OSU and they said Adios Travis. I know we have no money men like T Boone (when he was alive) at SLU so if things go completely South this year for SLU hoops fans will just have to wait and see what happens.

Young St. Louis area HS players aren't stupid...they see the product on the court year after year and obviously the majority go elsewhere. Are folks on this board ignorant enough to believe that what SLU fans have to say about Ford keeps them from signing on at SLU. Please don't tell me that anyone on here is that naive. Results or non results on the court are what the good players are watching. I'll continue watching and rooting for the team with very meager expectations things will improve under the present setup both HC and AD. I am a fan and an Alum. I donate money to SLU so I feel that entitles me to have a Strong opinions. Wonder how many of you making snarky remarks about me can say the same (maybe a few). Not sure I see it happening until both May and Ford are shown the door. Who in their right mind feels comfortable with Chris May making the next HC hire at SLU...he'e 0 for 2 so far!

An article I read today suggested it should be at UT. AD's at UT and FAU are brothers. Don't see it happen as Rick Barnes pretty certain has 2 more years on his contract.

They are playing well at the right time. Don't you think with their good run and fine season that Rodney Terry should get the permanent HC job. I'm sure Rick Barnes would endure him.

No, I've been a basketball and SLU fan pretty certain a whole lot longer than you have been alive. Be happy to test my knowledge of SLU Hoops History with you any day as I go all the way back to John Bennington days. Don't think you want to embarrass yourself dennis_w.

I'd agree slu72 on Majerus...he had the gift and basketball knowledge to Coach up his players. Seems to me Jordair Jett was a football star in HS (not saying he did not play HS Hoops) but he had offers to play college football. Instead Rick got him to play at SLU and he was a heckuva player and only one of many who made us proud to be SLU Hoops fans.

How many NCAA Tourney did SLU play in the last 5 years???

Glad to see there is another Billiken fan who also did their homework on Ford's history as a HC as I did. While it appears he will get another year because the AD who hired him was not on board in firing him after another disappointing year...as a lifelong Bills fan I'll hope for the best but will continue to comment when the Ford Coached team does not meet up to my expectationsl. I don't fret one bit about people who don't agree with me. Trust me many are already on my Ignore list. There are enough fans on here who appear like me that want a lot more from SLU hoops than we have been given in the last 7 years. I'll also NEVER apologize for rooting for other teams like my wife's Alma Mater TN Vols or Gonzaga. Their past history in hoops makes them easier to be a fan.

No glue just facts...hard for anyone to deny them either when they stare SLU fans right in the face year after year! No worry I'll still enjoy the Jesuit U's that do seem to have a way into the Tourney.

Roy...you are missing the point. Kids like Kalkbrenner really shouldn't have any reason in looking away from staying at home and playing for SLU. SLU has given them the reasons... Our most recent appearance was Ford's one year and before that Majerus and Crews taking Majerus' recruits to the Tourney. We really give a kid like this one or any other right now little hope and dreams of playing for their St. Louis U team in the NCAA Tourney. Now I'm sorry you feel the need to make your last statement about me, especially since we happen to know each other and you know how passionate I am about Billiken hoops for my entire life. It's hard for me to believe that I want more from my Alma Mater than you do!

Here's something for those on here who always tell the MBM's what a wonderful recruiter Ford is. Well if that is true and I have never really completely bought into it that notion...why didn't 7' Ryan Kalkbrenner a Catholic St. Louis player have a Billiken uniform on instead of a Creighton uniform on? Could it be he likes playing in the NCAA Tourney instead of sitting at home watching it as all SLU have fans done with the exception of 1 year under Ford? He looked like he'd have been a HUGE addition to the Bills lineup didn't he!

Don't know how many of my posts you read but I have my Under Grad degree from SLU's Business School and when asked made a nice donation towards the remodel and it's now known as the Chaifetz Business School. No one on this website would be more over joyed if the Billikens could go on NCAA runs like Gonzaga but until it happens I'll be pulling for the Zags!
