  1. I am 65 and own a Coldwell Banker franchise in a rural area of Missouri. I have no intentions of retiring unless poor health dictates. My pleasures are Billiken basketball, other Billiken sports, my garden, my volunteer work and my job. In that order. I need to fill my time productively whether that is sheer pleasure or profit. No interest in full retirement at this point. I can do as I please but have a purpose each day. I have warned my staff about future March trips to the NCAA. What can they say?
  2. We have one to give. If RickMa and staff think someone can help us and they are willing we will sign one more to use the Tselentakis scholarschip.
  3. I think that Rick does not want to have the banquet, for whatever reasons he may have. I always attended but am frankly pleased that we no longer have it. I think it was agony for the kids and for many of those in attendance; we came to "support the team". It was not something I looked forward to but something I felt I should attend. To me it is no big deal. If they had it I would go. Just as good with not having it. Time to work in the yard.
  4. You are welcome. Enjoyed meeting you, along with many others, in Columbus. These are the good days for Billiken basketball. We have been waiting patiently for a long time and now with Rick, we are there. Let's hope he stays healthy and happy and that we keep getting better and better and are right up there with the best year after year. That is really what I expect at this point.
  5. Cody's mother confirmed that his fiance is Australian.
  6. I am rooting for Michigan State. First because it would look good for us, second because they are very good and have a huge star in Green, and because it appears that they do thinks right and Izzo is a hell of a coach. We encountered a small number of obnoxious MSU fans, and sat in front of one absolute jerk, but every school has its obnoxious fans ( I may have been one of them at times) but overall I thought the Michigan State fans were great. We spoke with many and they were very nice people.
  7. Luke is actually back home and working for a bank in New Haven.
  8. We were having breakfast at First Watch and encountered two Billiken fans as we left. Turned out they were from the admissions office. They offered us a ride back to the Holiday Inn. They both represented Saint Louis University very well. I think their names were Eric an Kyle. Good guys. Thanks for the ride and sharing in the joy of a Billiken experience.
  9. Good for the A-10, and thus the Billikens.
  10. I think that Fr. Biondi was in the orient, possibly Japan or I am quite sure he would have been there. When I have seen him at Lorinzini's near the end of the season he was beaming and certainly should be. It appears he is very pleased with the Billikens success. He is a very smart man and realizes how beneficial this is the state of Saint Louis University.
  11. I think he will stay as long as his health holds out. He is reaping the rewards of his efforts and genius and seems to like SLU and St. Louis so he will stay for what promises to be an increasingly fun ride into the top echelon of college basketball. We would not be where we are without him and the people who made it possible.
  12. That was my first reaction 05. Good to see you in Columbus. It was a lot of fun and we showed up big time.
  13. MoStBareBtm doesn't speak for Billiken fans. Best of luck to Xavier.
  14. When we are the bigger story we will get the most coverage. Just win. Just like we are doing.
  15. I want SLU to be successful to the highest level possible but not cheat. There are some teams that I watch that turn my stomach because I know how those teams are assembled and that many of these players are not college students. We should be the darlings of ethical college basketball fans because we don't cheat and our kids have to do their school work and they are successful on the court. I am not in favor of any cheating.
  16. I agree Roy. I think Chris has done a fine job and that, in time, his hires will prove to be good ones. He really wants to win.
  17. The grocery store was Usselmans (sp?) 10 cent bologna sandwiches.
