I have a carved Billiken from my Alaska cruise/trip some years ago - small bluish stone but every BBM would recognize it for what it is. My board avatar is the cover of “The Billiken Rag” - written by EJ Stark, the son of Scott Joplin’s St Louis publisher - John Stark. You can find it on You Tube, but the one I heard was more in a honky-rink mode than classic ragtime which can be lyrical. It’s in my repertoire but I’d have to spend some time with it before I’d perform it for others.

I have direct tv but over a year ago I bought a local antenna from Best Buy & learned to hook it up. It doesn’t stay up because I have to tape it to a window & my won’t let me leave it there 24/7. Anyway, it’s hooked up now & the guide shows 30-4 but the time is on eastern & it shows Davidson playing someone at 7. we’ll see how this plays out.

A guy charged me in the lane in a senior league and I couldn’t play on my knee any more. I went to an orthopedist & he told me it was his first experience with this injury on Medicare. He did an MRI & gave me the disc take back to SL. I asked my CRNA daughter for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon & she referred me to Jody Jachna. He looked at the disc & said he’d get me back on the court. Outpatient surgery with a cadaver replacement on May 1 & I played pickup on August 15. 10 years later I’m still playing (with seniors).
