  1. Asuming that Aldens situation doesn't result in Missouri not hiring Anderson from UAB, How many Billikens.com posters are willing to give Missou another chance......

    1) I'll always hate MU due to their horrific fans and the utter classless of the inept and corrupt organization.

    2) I thought (till charter-plane-gate) that Quinn would make it harder to hate the tigers but now see 1 above.

    3) Anderson is a class act but will need to strip away layer after layer of corruption, ineptness, pomposity to make the Missouri program as a whole a class act. Ultimately he will fail and be consumed.

    4) Anderson is a class act but will need to strip away layer after layer of corruption, ineptness, pomposity to make the Missouri program as a whole a class act. Ultimately he will succeed after a few short decades and Missouri will reclaim it's past glory.....

    5) Quin is gone, I'm (back perhaps) on the Missouri bandwagon.

  2. Faulkner was a really, really, depressingly awful author. Read, "The sound and the fury" if you don't believe me.

In answer to your list, I'd be willing to bet that there are hundreds of cases like this faced by every college coach in America. How did Illinois and SIU miss out on Lisch and Liddell...........

Fans using internet rumors, innuendo, and the like to hammer a coach is their lot in life. Brad really needs to (or needed to) recruit some forwards immediately or win a couple tourney games without them next year to shut us all up.......

  3. ba-da-bump-bump-bump-another one bites the dust........

Maybe we should stop aiming so high. There have to be some 6'0" to 6'6" forwards out there........

(and if Stemmler isn't that then the rumored promise to dustin that we're done recruiting guards this year is broken)

I hope Luke hits the weights and Gimpy Ikeakor can walk fast.....

  4. I do agree that the finish to the season is overshadowing an otherwise decnt year. The boys finished about where I expected then to, getting much more than I'd hoped from our terrific freshmen. The thing that is of more major concern than the finish, is that our next recruiting class is.....Dustin. While we desparately need another shooter, our frontcourt is pathetically undermanned. IV, Bryce, Obi, JJ, will not cut it in this league. IV (and Bryce strangely) don't worry me. Our forwards right now though are a guy who hasn't played ball as a red shirt or his senior year in high school and JJ the pine riding enigma. Obi maybe great but it's been a long darned while since he's played real ball. I'd expect a bit of time might be needed for hime to adjust.

This isn't the first time in Billiken history that fans could ask a coach, "Where's the beef?" I used to tease my brother that SLU needed to call Rent-a-center to get some help. Rent-a-forward anyone?

  5. Who recruited the players?

Who set up the offense the players must work within?

I agree that nobody had a decent game except Ian but the coach has the responsibility. Who among US didn't see the lack of a power forward as a major liability.....

Does anyone think we could use a Tony Twist style enforcer to keep the goons off our scoring line????

  6. If Brad cannot put together a fairly decent tourney run with Ian as a senior then shame on him. If he can't do that AND comes up with a recruiting class that isn't first rate (by SLU standards) then I'll start sharpening my ax. I still say Brad gets a pass for his first scratch recruiting class. However that class is gone now.
