I have a good juxtaposition. Let’s say that Willie Reed and Kawmain Mitchel were allowed to play halfway through the situation I year. How would conference have played out? They would not have finished first, but definitely a massive improvement. Parker and Ezewiro are definitely the best players on the team. I think they are stars. A couple of stars can really make a difference.

You certainly have elevated Ezewiro after 2 games. Maybe we should see a few more.

sure, all good coaches never put rebounders on the lane for free throws.   all good coaches on every inbounds plays always just hoist the ball all the way down to the other end of the floor and start over.   we could go on.

we could also review his temper activity at other schools before he came to slu.   he got in a fight and fired from army.   when still at evansville he directed his player on an inbounds pass to throw the ball in the face of the defender (broke his nose).   his player walked off the floor and quit.  he had 9 consecutive losing record seasons before his two great seasons with the rickma players (he only won the first two seasons because rickma's players were so well coached they were on autopilot.).   he then finished off his last two seasons at slu well under 500.   my understanding he then coached a group of 5th and 6th graders in Indiana before the parents revolted and fired him as well for losing every game.

You do know that Rick quite often did not put rebounders in on throws.

8% from 3? Only 12 attempts? Did the team miss the strategy sessions?

Of the 12 how many were truly open. NC scouted us well. If I coached against us I would try to take away our 3’s and try to make us take it inside and we’re not athletic enough to score enough.

No worries. Parker comes back for next game. I’m thinking top 3? Maybe top 2 for a10?!?! No stopping us when fully healthy and young guys get more minutes !!!

You should have been in blue but getting Parker back will help this team. We desperately need someone who can create a shot. That said this game was lost on defense.

We did but I really wonder if calling that timeout with 20 seconds or so left was necessary - that time out would have been big at the end of the game.  Fortunately La Tech called a couple of time outs that helped Ford out.  Somehow, I can't help but to think we couldn't have scored without calling the time out.  Ford often wastes in my opinion time outs doing that in lots of games.

I agree with you but it turned out to be a good thing. If he had a timeout TJ never would have gotten the ball.

This was Beal's 1st game back & he only played 27 minutes, but pretty huge that JGood got 30 minutes of run in a game where both Beal & Booker were both healthy.  Grayson Allen was out, so it still remains to be seen how much PT JGood gets when the Suns are fully healthy.  I'm optimistic he's shown enough & is really the only option at backup PG that he'll continue to be in the rotation.

No KD didn't hurt his minutes. Some wierd +- numbers in that game.

May had a choice.  He made the wrong one.  You don’t get a pass because you were unwilling to make an unpopular decision with the local media.  That is why you hire an AD in the first place.  There were plenty on here who were not happy with the decision at the time.

And there were plenty who were happy with it at the time. I believe it is revisionist history that there was an outcry at the time. May had no choice. Not all our choices in life turn out to be correct. If you want to go back and show me your posts to the contrary I will at least concede to you.

I'm not restricting player movement. Maybe I didn't give the full explanation. A player can transfer anywhere, anytime he wants for any reason. 1st time transfer he can play immediately, coaching change he can transfer and play immediately, grad transfer he can play immediately, any other transfer has to sit a year.

While I agree with your criteria it’s all arbitrary. What’s the justification for limiting multiple transfers. The grad transfer rule is also a con job. If someone has true statistics on how many grad transfers are getting legit grad degrees I would like to see it. Either you can legally restrict transfers or you can’t. While I don’t like it a player has the freedom of free transfers or they can be restricted. My guess is the courts would say free transfers

He would not have been fired.  His contract was up so it would have been just two sides moving on.  There were plenty of reasons to not hire him and there is no reason to rehash them.   I heard the Biondi thing and that was 11 or so years ago so you can believe it or not.  The NC of the year thing was a tip of the hat to RM in my opinion and coaches who win those awards often get fired a year or two later.

Not rehiring someone is the same as firing. Semantics. Biondi fired Rich Grawer and took a lot of crap for it so No I don’t think he was or wanted to be involved with Crews. And no I don’t believe naming Crews was somehow paying homage to Rick. Rick was well respected but we’re not talking John Wooden here. Someone with better skills then me should go back and see what this board was saying. My memory says the board was saying what’s taking May so long.

Yeah we were short handed. But, I think he mismanaged the rotation in the final 20. For some reason he went with the small line up during Drake’s run. Made no sense to me. Both Zhang and Bussel should get the 40 minutes at the 5. Curcic needs more minutes.

I am not sure if it was May's idea to hire Crews.  I think it was Biondi who wanted him hired because he would be cheaper than RM.  Now I do blame him for not putting together a power point to change Biondi's mind.  I am sure May was OK with Crews simply because it was easy.

I think you could simply put a bag over your head with eye holes cut out.

I am not sure where you got the Biondi story. Never heard anything like this. Crews was national coach of the year. How do you not hire him? May had no choice. You don’t essentially fire the national coach of the year.
