  1. Just saw on ESPN the tourney is staying at 65 teams
  2. I think Monroe had the best hops of any Billiken ever. God would I love to see us run a back pick for Brown or Tommie but Brad just doesn't run set plays. Grawer was great at setting up Monroe for the jam once or twice per game.
  3. It will be interesting to see how this guy does. I think he will be a great pro.
  4. I don't totally agree. There were a few games that JJ play well and his minutes were still limited. He only played extended minutes when Brad had no other choice either by the size of the other teams 4 ,or foul trouble. Brad just doesn't trust JJ and thats probably not going to change. And yes maybe JJ hasn't done anything to gain that trust. In any event it's sad because I think he has the ability.
  5. Maybe it's the Rick Ankiel syndrome, but it's frustrating that the second best arm in the system made his 3rd start last night.
  6. It's obvious that Anthony Reyes is not ready for the majors. He needs more experience at Memphis.
  7. Skip give willie a call at 342-2986
  8. Reditt Hudson was a criminal justice major who went on and got a law degree, who is the local head{spokesman}of the ACLU.
  9. Look at the upside to this. Ian is the best center in the A-10 with all of these bad athletic traits, think what he could be if he is serious at improving his athleticism. Maybe the camps will be a wake up call for him. Lets hope he is serious about his offseason.
  10. I would hope that someone does talk to professors about how the players are doing and keeping them eligible. When you recruit a kid you owe him support to get that degree. Legally.
  11. We are not playing Iowa next year.
  12. Drew I agree. While Luke has shown an ability to be in the right spot at the right time he has shown no ability to shoot the basketball. We need the scoring. I see him as a 10 min. back up player who gives energy.
  13. I was told earlier that Ian was going to spend the summer in St. Louis and not play in Greece.
  14. It might have all been BS but I remember Romar talking about what a tough decision it was. How he loved St. Louis and the U.. Washington was the only place he would have left for. YADA YADA YADA. And yes Biondi did try to keep him.
  15. I don't agree that Romar was under fire. I think Billiken nation loved Romar and felt he would eventially break through. I know I was upset when Biondi couldn't keep him. It was only a matter of time before he landed top recruits and most of us were willing to wait.
  16. Guest what were you doing at Ladue and Price? Trying to sneak on to St. Louis Country Club?
  17. I think the Band makes a couple of good points. As far as TV/Radio the bills get a lot of coverage. We are continually on the local news shows for quick segments about upcoming games, highlites, interviews with Brad etc. Brad is on KMOX almost every Sunday during the season. Last week was MA's first trip to STL,thats news. I'm sure we'll get a lot of coverage when Ian's status is resolved. I feel the local media sans the Post gives us good coverage. Now the Post with all their MU grads thats another story.
  18. Frank C.had a mention last week that all 3 were graduating, but maybe he was trying to make a point that all 3 seniors would graduate.
  19. I think Metz shoulded be banned for such a blatent racist remark.
  20. JJ supposedly walked last saturday. Anybody know what grad school he will be in.
  21. I am all for the arena, but don't expect recruits to knock down our door just because we have a new building. There are plenty of good programs that have suceeded with crappy facilities. Recruiting is all about building relationships and salesmanship.I think Brad can suceed as a low key salesman but could use help as a more dynamic salesman. The low key approach won't work with everyone. We could use a little flash. Maybe Angrus fills that roll?
  22. Billikan your post sounds like a Coke commercial.
  23. This is not any different then being told by your company that you will make a contribution to the United Way. While it may be a pain it is a fact of life at some companies .
  24. Your memory is good. I believe he was 19 or 20.
