I think you just proposed a good question. I'm not sure how I would answer it. I really think a move to the MVC would be a huge mistake for the long term potential of our program,but Rick sure has us moving in the right direction.

I hate to say this but I think Roy will become president of the Rick M fan club before we win a game in Carbondale. Maybe Hughes will come back and use up his eligibilty.

This is not a criticism of you Toy but a criticism of this whole board. When we win a couple of games everybody gets upbeat and talks about going to the tourney. If we lose a couple of games,whoa is me, this team will never win another game and everyone sucks. We all need to calm down.

I'm pretty sure Rick is on record saying Paul will not have an athletic scholarship. Now if you lost a bunch of people that might not be the case.

Obviously Rick wants Cassity in the game as he has been leading the team in min. played in recent games. I think the reason we lost was our guards inability to stop dribble penetration. How many layups did they have in the second half? They just blew bye our guards. Willie and Jon could not block their shots but they should not have to be in that posotion. And hey Billiken coaches''''' Please come up with a better end of game-end of half play besides KM dribbling around and throwing up a prayer.

Speaking of justin Jordon and his 5-9 frame did anyone catch Devin Downey of South Carolina last night. Despite being double and triple teamed he put up 30 points angainst Kentucky. I also don't get the talk of John Wall being a top 5 NBA pick. He doesn't shoot it well enough.

I'm not exactly sure what I heard as I was getting into my car as Frank C and Strickland were talking about the Billikens and Rick's dealing with the media. I think Frank said that practices are now open to the press by order of Chris May. Anybody catch this?

I have no idea how much money Rick gets for his defunct show, but many programs get around state pay restrictions by paying coaches huge dollars for these shows. It's a way for sponsors and alums to pay huge coaches salaries.

I think it's cool that they are visiting the White House. Majerus may have some quirks but he really does want to broaden the experiences of his players. I just can't figure out how they lost at Bowling Green after watching Invictus.

Ceasar was doing his job. There was nothing in there that I would call a hatchet job. Rick is what he is. May or Porter need to become the public face. The department needs to do a better job,it doesn't have to be Rick.

It happened right in front of me. Brian did say something but was not in the guys face and was certainly restrained. The Fordham guy did head butt him and did make contact,but probably would not have broken an egg. Without knowing what Brian said I don't think he deserved a T.
