I'm sad basketball season is over. Go Celtics beat LA.

For what it's worth Darren Ravelle on CNBC just said it looks like the Texas Schools & the Okkies are going to stay in the Big 12.

My guess is that he is not going. It's been dragging on to long. If he wanted the job he would have taken it by now.

I doubt if Kelly has any say in any of this.

Somebody told me he bought a 5 million dollar home in T&C.

Interesting: Profit Margins for Basketball

I doubt that. If memory serves we were only borrowing about 20 million. Debt service on that would be less than 1 million. Also don't forget that the buiding brings in other revenue- from Carry Underwood to Glen Beck. They have done a good job of keeping the building busy. -
I just heard the end of it as I got into my car. Rob L won't be on campus untill Sept.as he is playing in several world tournaments. Evans and McCall will be on campus shortly. He and Jensen are going to Minn. next week to see Jett. Praised the kid from Toledo, saying he will be a good Luke Meyer, and he loved Luke Meyer. He said all of our kids did great in the classroom. I believe the purpose of the call was to talk about John Wooden.

Yeah,but Sekue sure could run.

Cranford was the best player I ever saw at dribbling for 15 seconds and not moving 1 inch.
-
None of us have seen these new guys play so it's all conjecture, but I would be surprised if Jett is anything more than a backup for the point. I would expect MM to be in the 7-8 man rotation. Competition for playing time should be fierce.

How was her softball season?

I'm sure we'll get a review from Roy.

Was that Billiken Roy I saw standing in line to see Sex in the City as I drove by a Bellville theatre?

Coach Majerus to be on the Bernie Miklasz show today

If I remember that game was part of a 2 for 1. I am opposed to all 2 for 1's but I might make an exception for Duke and Kentucky. -

Everyone praises Joe Castiglione as this great Athletic Director. He sure has had a lot of crap happen under his watch. At the very least you have to question his oversight of his coaches . -
Was Richard Petty a damn good basketball coach?
-
This conversation is getting old. Why don't we talk about Jack Bauer and 24? What do you think Roy? Should O'Brien have killed Jack?

I didn't hear the show. What was the context of Rick giving scheduling info? He has been known to give info that has not been right. I'm not trying to question anything but I like it better when I see it in writing. -

I can't defend the Mckendree game but we had no talent. Every Metro team had superior athletes. I remember beating Cinci one night with smoke and mirrrors. I still say Ekker was not a bad gameoach just a terrible recruiter . -

Ekker was not a bad bench coach but he didn't beleive in recruiting. He thought he could come in at the last minute and buy some juco players. I had a very minor role in the recruitment of Wallace Robinson. Ekker wanted someone who had gone to the business school to have lunch with Wallace at the old Kemolls on north grand. We were hosted by Frank Cussamono's [sp] father . Mr. C was just great, talking about food and life. Wallace seemed like a nice guy. I was surprised when he punched out Ekker. I thought he was a serious student. I guess everybody has a breaking point. -

RM has said he would like to be in the Big East if he could.
