I am not sure your last statement is correct. There are a few lawyers on this board who probably have a much better insight into the law profession then Father Biondi. I know of at least 1poster who was the managing partner of one of St. Louis's largest law firms. The new dean may have great character but I don't see how he is qualified besides being a Biondi guy who has Endowed a couple of scholarships. Biondi was desperate so he turned to a supporter.

I would feel a lot better about Rick,s long term future if Biondi would be replaced , but I am not holding my breath.

This thread is getting old,but this notion that DE can't put the ball on the floor is crazy. He's got a good first step and the strength to get to the hole. While I do agree with Taj that he has to many misses (blocks) his ball handling is not a problem. Dwayne will the teams most productive player,playing the 3position.

Not to take a shot at the athletic dept. but I think a lot of that credit should go to Meg Connolly(sp) in the alumni relations office. At least give them both credit.

i have two seats center court but up a few rows and two seats in row 8 across from the vistors bench. i am required to make a pretty nice donation for those seats then throw in a couple hundred extra as well. my point is, the high roller seats obviously carry some weight in the point system for me to have lost 65 places since the arena has opened even though i am donating above my requuired donation level.

The reason we don't have more Fortune 500 companies has nothing to do with STL it has to do with corporate mergers and or bankruptcies. Busch, McDonnell Douglas and TWA were bought out. I'm not sure if Mercantile or Boatmans were 500 companies but there gone . Ralston Purina ,Pet Milk, and Mallincrodt are others that come to mind. The lack of flights out of Lambert sucks but has nothing to do with corporate mergers.

First, I would never defend Ballpark Vilage,It's a joke. Why the city has not held Dewitt to the fire is beyond me. I also spent the weekend in Cinnci and liked the city. I wasn't blown away with their immediate surrounding area. I thought they lacked areas like Shannon's,Padios,Bucks and Keener Plaza.Too many highways around the stadium. I do agree with Roy that Newport was cool. Just a little better then East St Louis. It's too bad Busch wasn't built on our river. Great American was a good stadium. Bad news was their beer cost the same as Busch. Second most expensive beer in baseball.

I agree with a lot of Taj's last post .I don't think we should settle,but should try for another big name hire. The only problem is Biondi obviously won't pay market rate for a big name hire. If May has a budget of let's say 500 grand, I think he's limited to a top young assistant. I don't think any of us knows who paid Rick's salary. I for one think talk of Novelly's involvement is overstated.. I'm not sure he does more then buy a few loyal blue tickets
