  1. Jerry Palm released a "way too early" bracket yesterday for the 2022 NCAA tournament: https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/bracketology/ He has SLU in the First Four as an 11 seed. Article about his bracket here: https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/2022-ncaa-tournament-bracketology-gonzaga-is-early-top-seed-ahead-of-no-1-seeds-ucla-kansas-and-texas/ "One league that could be interesting to follow this season is the Atlantic 10. St. Bonaventure returns most of the team that won the league a season ago and has a chance to be a top 25 team. Things get pretty bubbly from there as Dayton, Richmond, Saint Louis and VCU all look like potential tournament teams, but there likely will not be room for all of them."

  2. Doctor B and I went at it a few times on this board. He was obviously a big fan who was an accomplished, smart and interesting individual. May Doctor B rest in peace while enjoying a great conversation or two with Mark Twain in the great beyond.

  3. Without their top offensive players SLU really struggled to string together any real possession from the back. Lots of errant passes throughout. If it was not for Purcell this could have been much worse.

  4. i must admit i was pleasantly surprised by the video. granted he is smaller than i expected, but for A10 power forward purposes he is big enough. size wise looks more like linssen that bell, okoro or french. but the smoothness and ability around the lane was impressive. sure we all need to be somewhat skeptical of highlight video's, but turnarounds and inside moves for dunks are not fakes. i'm very content as a replacement for a 3rd on the depth chart player. we'll have to see if he turns into an all american, but good chance this is a more than upgrade over bell.

  5. Wow! I was expecting a tall, awkward kid who could dunk and block shots and that’s about it. This kid can play. He may be raw and may need to put on some weight, but wow, I was not expecting what I saw in that video.

  6. So sad and shocked to hear this news. Hal was an awesome guy. So smart, so knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed the games we watched together. I will think about him every game I go to. Peace Hal, the world is a better place for having you as a part of it.
