Andre Craig Appreciation Thread

Dre is awesome. Perfect emcee. But don’t forget about the very dedicated student leaders. They’ve been putting a lot of time in this year and doing a great job as well.3 likes -
This might've been talked about in a different thread but with BenFreds article today, I felt this needed a bump. It looks to me like Andre is a big part of the student section being active and involved. I don't know how much they pay him but they need to give him a raise to keep him coming back. He does a great job. Link2 likes

I think everyon in my section agrees that Andre Craig, former Billikens walkon and current EMCEE does a wonderful job on the mic getting the crowd involved. Best AD hire.1 like

Foreman's a key

I don't get Foreman at all this year. Last year during conference play he came up a real contributor. This year not so much except for that 20 point game. He's pretty mobile for a big man but he seems to be rushing things rather than letting the game come to him. Travels, missed passes, dribbles off his foot, missed bunnies and dunks. I happen to think he's a much needed contributor as we are now in the stretch run. I love the guy's team first attitude just wish he'd slow it down a little and pick his spots like he did last year. Our offense is going to need to show improvement over these next 5-9 games if we're going to have any shot at playing into the post season, I'm not ruling out the NIT just yet, and Foreman's got to play a big role in that improvement.1 like -
Student participation has been the best it’s been in many years but why in the hell did half of them leave at half time the last game? While I am at it when they have academic excellence night the individual coaches should insist they stay for the end of the game under pain of losing their scholarship. The optics are terrible.1 like

pretty sure in our evans, mccall, jett and loe days we were over 10k more than once. are they possibly talking about just this season? no way they could screw that up otherwise?1 like -
The Last 5 Games

Of the top 7 teams, we have the toughest schedule with all five games against other teams in top 7. Duquesne has four games of its five vs. top 7, and the others have easier schedule, each with only two or three games vs. top 7. It will be great stretch of must-win games - based on schedule we are unlikely to get much help.1 like -
They need to wear those hard hats onto the bench at every game...reminds me of JLove’s Dad, I think he wore one to games.1 like

No TV for Dayton

Thing is if you cut out cable, your internet price is going to rise by 50% if you were bundling cable and internet. Then you’re gonna subscribe to a Netflix or Hulu or both. $10-20 You gotta have your sports so you subscribe to espn+ $10 a month. The subscriptions add up. Unless you’re cutting out cable and not replacing it you’re still gonna pay about the same1 like -
This AM, on Sports on a Sunday Morning, Coach explained the hard hats. He gave them out Thursday. We had gotten away from what we do best - physical, aggressive, defensive play. He wanted to change the mood, change the mind set of the team. Hence the hard hats. They give out stickers for the hats for positive plays, effort, etc. He called the defense v LaSalle the best of the season. They were the hottest team coming into the game, winning 5 of 6, scoring 75+ ppg in those 5. He made no changes on defense during the game - something quite unique. This week the staff will be off recruiting early, both locally and nationally. They want the team to get healthier and get academics back on track. They will begin prep for Dayton on Thursday. He complimented Bonner (and Hines) for helping out twice. Bonner gets to practice early, warms up, stretches, and takes this very seriously. His mentoring of the team has been very valuable. Coach says Tommy Liddell and Larry Hughes may come and help out later this week.1 like
