I have reached billiken_roy levels of posting (7/7)

  1. Merry Christmas
  2. So you would consider the current WCC and MWC a power conference?
  3. The PAC 12 isn’t going to be power conference. It will be the equivalent of the current MWC. They don’t have the quality, the markets or the brands of the old PAC 12.
  4. Dave Jablonski of the Dayton Daily New moved us up to 24th this week on his ballot and Dave Peterson of WTOP Radio in DC added us to his ballot at 25th. Jablonski always will vote for A10 teams before anyone else does. This is now the fourth straight season with no AP basketball pollster based in St. Louis. Dave Matter was the last St. Louis based journalist to vote in the poll. I gave Matter some crap over the years, but he was actually more than fair when it game to voting for the Billikens when we were good over the years.
  5. The first Andre Craig regressed every season. I was a young kid, but if my memory is correct he kept putting on weight. Al-Matiin was a nice player, really good defensively. He was almost 30 when he finished up his SLU career. He had done a six year stint in the Army out of high school. He then enrolled at a JUCO and walked on to their basketball team.
  6. This. The problem was a consistent lack of focus and at times effort on the defensive end. We were lucky to get a game like that out of the way against an opponent like UNH.
  7. Brady Dunlap……. no need to say more.
  8. Sitting at 20th in NET this morning.
  9. It was an 11 AM tip, but it was on November 20th.
  10. True. The now infamous Conklin Washington game only had 6,700 in the house. Romar’s Washington team had 4 future NBA players and that couldn’t pack the house. I remember being disappointed looking around at the empty seats. Despite that, that crowd was still one of the loudest crowds ever at Chaifetz as we all realized how good we actually were.
  11. P4 teams lose money when they play any road games. That is why the top of the heap P4 teams have almost completely eliminated OOC road games. They have the fan bases and the demand for games against them to pull it off. They will play neutral site games that give them a guarantee close to what they would make with a home game but that is it. For example this year UNC has one OOC road game and that is only due to the ACC/SEC Challenge. Kentucky has one road game against Louisville and hosted their own MTE to increase the number of home games which they can make money off of.
  12. At halftime Santa Clara down 4 at home to North Texas. USF up early against Loyola.
  13. Up to 30 in T Rank and back to 37 in Pomeroy post game.
