  1. Disagree. Think UL will reach F4. Just like others disrespected our defense and claim poor shooting and/or unforced errors, think the players would note how much that kinda pressure wears you down. As Ken Pomeroy just tweeted to those denigrating Louisville's win ... nobody's beaten the Bills like that all year. Agree on the pride in our team part!
  2. Amen! Great 4 (or 3) years guys! Proud to be a Billiken!
  3. Helluva game Bills! May have recovered by Saturday ...
  4. +1000 ... but too worn out to discuss.
  5. Agree. Living in near Raleigh, they're the most tolerable of the local fan bases. If you want to get under their skin though, refer to them as UNC-Raleigh or UNC-R. Go Bills!!!
  6. SLU alum who grew up in Louisville and now lives near Raleigh. Having seen State and Cards a bunch, not at all impressed w/ NC State, but I think we have maybe 1% chance of beating UL. (Would need to get Harrell in foul trouble hit about 50% from 3 and hope Smith is more diculous than russ.)
  7. Yes, partisans complain about officiating. No, you can't blame every loss on the officials. But when you miss a call THAT bad (arguably two guys fouled him) ... that ends up being a 3-5 point swing in a tie game ... I think it's fair to point it out. The energy drop in the 2nd half was just as culpable.
  8. UMass better not expect to get these flops in the NCAA. They will be sorely disappointed.
  9. At the beginning of the season, I would have set four goals/expectations for the team. And I'd characterize these goals as certainly achievable but relatively lofty in the grand scheme of things. (Not saying you shouldn't have lofty goals ... but in any given year only a handful of teams would reach each of these goals) 1) Win the regular season conference title (check) 2) Win enough games to attract national media attention about SLU basketball (check) 3) Repeat as tournament champs (still pending) 4) Make it to the Sweet 16 or beyond (still pending) To each their own on whether they'll ultimately view the season as a success, but no sense entering in your final grade at this point. The grades already in the book look good. While the recent trends look less than promising, the past doesn't always predict the future. In my 30 years as Bills fan, looking forward to the next few weeks unlike any March before (well aside from maybe last year).
  10. Exactly. No sense peaking in early February. Sometimes you gotta remember how bad it burns to lose to work. Billikens' D takes work.
