  1. When would Suggs have to commit either verbally or on paper that he's going to SLU/UW/UI/MU? When do you think he would make a verbal?
  2. Every so often our beloved center makes appearances at the World-Renowned Simon Recreation Center on the midtown oasis that is The Saint Louis University. Ian is accompanied by a trainer or friend of some sort and they spend a good hour or so lifting and stretching, etc. I even noticed that Ian makes almost daily appearances during big game weeks, i.e. North Carolina. Ian was lifting and getting ready for Hansborough, which he probably should have been doing during the off-season -- it's kind of tough to get ready for a first team All-American in a few days. Even an novice college basketball fan knows that. Ian has crapped away any dreams of playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) this season. His lack of discipline and drive is obvious on the court. I hate to think what our team is going to be like with Bryce Hushaq Diesel or some JUCO prospect out there, but I'm ready for the Voyoukas era to be over with at SLU. He made so much progress between his freshman and junior years that it was hard not to notice and reward him for his efforts. Now, it's like he's running around with a pole shoved up his ass. Ian did have a urinary tract infection earlier this season, but it shouldn't be hampering his performance on the court. Where's the old Ian Voyoukas?
  3. At the SLU-XU game back in January, the Blue Crew really got into the hair of a hot-blooded Eyetalian named Mario (who is a grad assistant or something at X) by waving the SLU flags in circles around the Xavier bench. This was no doubt one of the coolest things I've ever seen, as the irate Mario bitched to the officials for about two minutes and ended up getting into a few verbal jabs with the student body, which was awesome. I was kind of hoping for a brawl similar to the one at the Palace at Auburn Hills a few years ago, but no such luck. But my question is, do you think the XU "students" will try to pull any shenanigans at our bench tonight? -------------------- "Hey, Farva, what's that bar you like to go to with all the ###### on the wall?" "Oh, you mean Shenanigans?!?" -Super Troopers Go billikens!!! stay hot!
  4. I was at Humps last night and in walks Bonner and some other cat from the local hoops scene. Had a couple of Bud Lights and was talking about how Vashon is the type of team that might lose a few games in November/December, but come March, they're tough to beat because they've played some better teams than most of the other schools. I thought that was interesting. Good to see AB around campus.
