  1. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/siu-denies-it-offered-coaching-job-to-weber/article_ea0874aa-72d4-11e1-947c-001a4bcf6878.html SIUC denies making an offer to Weber. Sorry if this has already been posted on here.
  2. (insert twilight zone music DOO DOO, DOO DOO, DOO DOO, DOO DOO) Who is saying that Anderson did a better than Haith? I'm not following you here, but then again I'm not sure who could. You need some serious therapy. Sorry, I guess I'm one of many who don't like you. You just seem to think that it could only be one person! How about this...show me a positive post that I've made about mizzou. I posted that Haith did a better job than Anderson with that team. No reasonbable person could call that "positive". I'm sure you won't even address this. You have a funny delusion that if you keep typing lies they will come true. Poor ace.
  3. I think the point is that SLU needs to master the system AND keep the academic standards. It shouldn't be that hard to do, and I don't think we'll have a problem. I agree that, if a school has higher standards than the NCAA, that school should be able to handle the academic part of things on there own. I think we'll be fine.
  4. Bruce Weber got 9 years or something like that. Do you really think Haith will be there that long?
  5. Hah! I get a kick out your your delusions here. Saying Haith did a better job with the same bunch of players is a statement of fact. I never stated that I thought either one of them was a good coach. Perhaps if you actually graduated from SLU you would understand that. If Anderson would have been coaching, they wouldn't have had the opportunity to choke against a 15 seed in the first round. They would have probably been a 6 or 7 seed and have had a slightly less embarassing loss to a somewhat better team. Choking in March is a long tradition for the fellas down the highway. Poor ace, I can see that you have severe self-esteem issues. You're too ashamed to admit when you're wrong about something and keep making things worse for yourself. Did someone claim that Haith was a better coach than Majerus? It wasn't me. Is there a way that the board could automatically play "twilight zone" music every time you open a post from poor ace? Poor ace needs a Dr. Phil intervention!
  6. Maybe Weber can fill the Jim Crews role next year!
  7. It looks like Weber wants to jump right back in. The money maybe isn't so important to him, since he's getting a big buyout. I'd think there may be better opportunities for him out there, but maybe's he's partial to Carbondale. I think a lot of coaches would look for a 1-2 year TV gig and then find something better.
  8. Now is the time for SLU to re-up Rick. That can only help with recruiting.
  9. If we're to believe the list, there are only 12 out of 300 or so D1 schools that would have had a problem under the revised rules. So 95+% of the teams are fine. With the slack time to get things together virtually every team has the opportunity to qualify. As I understand it, I'm not feeling too sorry for UConn. I agree with what some othes have posted regarding players who finish early and are in grad school. If you're going to ding a school for having a dropout who doesn't finish, you should reward the schools who have players ahead of the curve.
  10. X also has a lot of experience playing in March. I think that is a big factor to your success. I'll miss, Temple, but not worth dwelling on them either. If it works out with Butler the league will be fine, and the A10 will be okay even if Butler takes a pass.
  11. As I recall Thompson did have problems with grades and may have been ineligible for the first semester if he had returned. Can anyone confirm?
  12. I'm not sure why, but for some reason I thought the Michigan State fans would have more class than the Memphis fans. I was wrong about that.
  13. Thanks for the info. How does a player/team get into the position a being short? I thought they needed to be taking at least 12 hours to be eligible, but admit that I don't know how it works. With the tutors and whatnot, you'd think it wouldn't be that hard.
  14. I'm curious to know how this is calculated. This must include guys who wash out and are in poor academic standing, like Wille. It looks like even grad-student types like we have are equalized by dropouts/flunkouts. I guess the message is to be careful who you recruit.
  15. Bold prediction! I hope you're right.
