Recruit

Recruit (1/7)

  1. I believe the success of an on campus soccer field has given the admin greater cause for going after an on campus basketball arena. Just conider that SLU soccer has led the nation in attendance for the last several years. BillikenRich, don't bite the mouth that feeds you.
  2. You are right about the endowment returns being awful in late 90s. It's unbelievable, particularly considering that Rex Sinquefield at DFA, a SLU alum, practically invented index investing. No joke. If memory serves correct, I think he helped manage Stanford's edowment at one time. Also, didn't we receive Tenent stock in the sale of the hospital? That would, in part, explain the dreadful returns.
  3. Yeah, Tom Light (the owner of the rights) also snatched up the .net site as well.
  4. Has anybody heard this rumor? I stumbled across some chat about it on the KU message board (phog.net). It's pretty hard to believe.
  5. If you have ESPN FullCourt, you can get the game. Pretty much any bar can get the game tonight.
  6. "one heckuva game coach"? You've got to be kidding me. Just go back and look at the NCAA game against Utah, and you'll rethink that answer.
  7. I saw something similar with Wayne Simien at Kansas last year. You are correct in that no further damage can be done; it's a question of how much pain you are willling to let the youngster go through.
  8. The list is rather interesting. I find it somewhat ironic that there isn't a single Romar recruit from SLU playing pro ball. That's rather strange considering recruiting was supposed to be one of his strengths.
  9. Anybody know where I can get a list of former SLU players stil playing pro?
  10. Here are the satellite coordinates for the game tomorrow. Any local bar w/ a satellite should be able to get you the game w/ the following info: AMC 9, Transponder 8, 11860V downlink frequency
  11. Did anybody else notice that the game tomorrow is not on ESPN Fullcourt, even though the SLU site indicates otherwise. I apologize, in advance, if this issue has already been discussed. -- Corey
