kshoe
Even though they don't like him the meltdown on Tigerboard is going to be legendary if Tulsa hires away their coach The meltdown has already started. If he did leave, who replaces him would be critical. They've got something like 5 recruits coming in and if those guys start abandoning ship the way the Marquette guys did, watch out. slu72
Tulsa? Makes sense he can pull out all his old U Hurricane stuff and have his wife sew in the word Golden. Bet he'll be the first guy to coach at two schools whose mascots are natural disasters. Kind of fitting for him, though, since he's been a disaster wherever he goes. Bay Area Billiken
The Yahoos had best give Haith a raise before it is too late.

Bay Area Billiken
Wahoos is an unofficial nickname for UVA. Yahoos refers to elements of the MU fanbase.
slufan13
this sucks. Haith was a big reason that Mizzou was a joke of a program

For-DaLove
I may actually die from laughter if Haith snakes his way to an extension with Mi$$ouri. Fingers crossed
slufan13
From Tulsa's message board Damn.I don't want this guy. Yikes!$1.5M means we are taking this seriously but how in the hell could we not get some of our seemingly top targets at for $1.5M? That is some significant cash for a coach at our level. Wow. Haith will find out pretty quick that the fan base is saying NO NO NO as well. Good luck raising money after today, Dr. Gragg.

brianstl
Who is a realistic option for Mizzou's next coach? My money is on someone like Brian Gregory. Another underperforming ACC coach.

Honestly it pains me to say it, but I could see Ben Howland. I get the feeling he really wants to get back into coaching. Mizzou isn't a very good job, but I don't know that a better one will open this year and I think his appeal goes down each year he's out of coaching. thetorch
If I liked Mizzou I'd feel bad that Martin was just hired away. He would have been perfect to clean up the program. I'm torn now. I want Haith to stay so he can lead the program into NCAA death penalty but I 'm also intrigued to see what other beyond horrible hire Mike Alden could make. bonwich
I was trying to remember the name of that guy on the old football Cardinals who consistently threw away money because he had zero eye for talent. I was going to note that Alden is his spiritual successor. Ahh, but his name jumped out at me from one of the alternative SPUMAC abbreviations above: George BOONE. I have to start giving some credence to this Intelligent Design thing they're so fond of in mid-Missouri. That can't simply be attributed to coincidence. Howland is a guy that Jon Sunvold would suggest. That automatically eliminates Alden from considering you. Supposedly, Sunvold's backing of Bill Self is why Alden left Self sitting on the tarmac while he hired Snyder.
kshoe
Apparently Haith called a team meeting to tell the players he is going to Tulsa to listen to what they have to say. Seems like he's gone. Unreal.
