I’m courtside now… boys are playing well.
-
Fire Ford now…today. If not, fire Ford and May tomorrow. This is beyond awful.

Reggie is very athletic...fun to watch when he gets aggressive. Good big man that is hard to stop (when he is playing well)! -
Nah...any good AD knows who is on the chopping block or potentially willing to make a move, thus potentially available...so conversations start early. Question is whether May will act now or not. Also, firing Crews now sends a message. Does May want so show that SLU continues to support this current path, or that we'll get rid of the coach, sacrifice this season, and focus on the future?

Agree with WestCoastBilliken. Majerus was a big name hire (with a bit of luck). Get rid of Crews now and start early for next year. We wait to fire him until end of season, we are left with scraps.

I can't believe I paid for a plane ticket to come watch these guys play next month. I'm going to be the only one in the stadium. -

Transition Year, But Is Crews Long-Term Answer?

Some coaches are best as head coaches, some as assistants. JC needs to prove himself. He did a great job taking MJ's team forward, but it's time for him to show his worth. HIs record at Evansville and Army are nothing to brag about....even if those teams have haven't faired well since his departure (we shouldn't compare ourselves to Army or Evansville). We've been willing to pay for excellence the past few years (MJ's salary, new on-campus stadium, etc), can't settle for mediocracy. Rebuilding is one thing, losing to Rhode Island at home, UT-El Paso, and by 30+ to Davidson is another issue. Recruiting won't get any easier next year, JC should have no more than 2 more seasons to make it work. -
Living in NC, this was my first time watching SLU play in person this year. The only saving grace was that Davidson fans were kind to us SLU fans, at least the 20 or so of us that were there. Davidson executed every play just about perfectly. Every screen, 'back-door' pass, etc...we were just outplayed. They were very quick...seems like our guys were always a step behind. And we were flat. No excitement, no chemistry...almost like they were bored. We couldn't get open for a decent shot, especially in the paint, and our shooting % shows that. Not sure what happened with free throws. Rebuilding, yes...but we have some major fundamental issues. Davidson is a solid team with a good coach, however we never should have lost by this much.

This is horrible. We should not be this bad coming off the past 3 years….if we had decent recruiting. These kids will develop and get better, but it won't be like anything we've seen lately. Time to spend the big bucks again and get a good recruiting coach.

What's up with that? Our full court press looked more like VCU HAVOC. Will this be added to our arsenal? Little Friday 'What up with that?' humor.. http://screen.yahoo.com/al-gore-000000893.html

Brilliant coaching by Crews at the stretch. Some big plays by Manning and Lancona early on, clutch shots by Loe/McCall/Evans, all around good showing of senior experience and a capable bench. My confidence is back!
