Billikenswin
The greatest player on the planet decided that he wants to play at home. What a great precedent for JT!
sludevil
Hopefully they've been able to talk a lot over the last few days about playing for the hometown. (And Lebron must REALLY love playing for the hometown, given what happened in 2010.) Also, Lebron, Kyrie, and Love would make a hell of a big three. Schasz
The greatest player on the planet decided that he wants to play at home. What a great precedent for JT! In the case of Jayson I hope that you are correct. As to LBJ I moved to South FL in 2009. I go back to the days of the St. Louis Hawks was a kid when they won the NBA Championship so I always have enjoyed the NBA. Became a Heat fan even before King James showed up, and these four years have been fun. I feel the same way about his leaving as I did Albert's. Miami fans got to enjoy 4 of his very best years. Certainly the Cards fans got Albert's best 11 years.

And there's a big difference because Albert left solely for money...and everyone knows that

He is going to sign a 2 year deal with a 1 year opt out. Why you ask? The NBA TV deal ends in 2 years so this is money driven too. King James was not born yesterday...he likes to make money too! sludevil
I don't understand why some fans look down on athletes for chasing the money. I would chase the money, too. Money is awesome. And this is their profession; if someone offered you a big raise at another company, you wouldn't take it? Maybe I'm just greedy. But to add something substantive to this post: UConn just offered Tatum. Because hell, why not. Although if he's going to leave the region, I can't imagine him picking UConn over Duke, UNC, or Florida.

Champs. Too bad for them because JT will be coming to SLU.
hsmith19
At the end of the day LeBron's rebuilding his legacy and Albert will never have that chance... Says who? Nobody would've guessed back in 2000 that Griffey would someday return to Seattle to finish his career (and burn the same bridge for a second time over). Stranger things have happened than a scenario that puts Pujols back in St. Louis either at the tail end of his current contract or once it's finally over. Only difference is that AP will be 58 when his current contract is up and he will be hitting .220 with 9 HRs and 53 RBIs.

MB73
This thread needs an MB Pujols Steroid rant. Pujols is 37+; most all of them in MLB were on steroids until MLB began testing, I never focused on Albert on that matter, just his age. Now it's HGH for all.
