Not like it's gonna help.

I watched both of the games that SIUC played in New York and they have a very interesting team. However, without Evans they will not have any big guys -- or like they have had in the past medium sized guys who play like big guys. Fay and Boyle do not play big although Fay is a nice player who really like to shoot the 3 so if he is hot at home he could hurt us. The rest of the team in hard nosed and athletic. Booker will get a baptism of fire and I am sure he will be fired up against the Bills. However, If the refs call the fouls like they did in New York I think we will be very competitive. If they call them like they have in the past when we play at Carbondale then we will get beat up with no calls at all. However, if they call it the same both ways I think our man Conklin will hold his own against Boyle and Reed and Thompson can hit the offensive boards pretty strong. If our defense is as strong as it was against BC we have a chance in this game. Its all about the refs!!!!

i totally agree kan. siu plays rugby if allowed. and that indeed will determine the outcome of the game if they are allowed to do so. the fact the game is being played in carbondale, doesnt give me a lot of hope for a well officiated game though.

my wife and I have gone to Carbondale games away in the past and they have the type of home atmosphere we would like to have at Chaifetz and they do seem to get home cooking when it comes to the refs they used in the past.

I would rather beat Carbondale with their center not hurt. We don't want any excuses if we do get a win.

If we play like we did against Kent State and Boston College and if we cut down on unrecgonzied passes we should be all right.

I hope the kid recovers in time fkor SIU to win their league and possibly we can meet them in post season play.

As long as they call it the same both ways this team is tough enough to hang playing SIUC's style. We just played a very similar game against BC. After watching the two SIUC games at MSG the Floor Burn U. tag fits this Billiken team much better than the current Saluki squad.

Ive watched Booker play multiple times...hes soft. Without Evans I think SIU has almost no chance on the boards or inside scoring if we play like we did the past 2 games. SLU plays just as physical as SIU and have played phenominal D so far. SIU hasnt been able to finish out a game. I like our chances

trey, considering you are closer to carbondale than us, it kind of amazes me you think slu plays as physical as siu. you have not seen them enough if you think that.

I think we are going to see a more physical style with this Billiken team. The BC coach mentioned our physical play in his comments after the game.

Have you watched any of the games SIU or SLU played this year? Ive seen at least part of 4 SIU games and every SLU game and I say SLU plays just as physical as SIU. Playing physical isnt just knocking people around its playing tough in your face D and crashing the boards hard. It getting on the ground and fighting for loose balls. SLU played very physical ball against kent and BC. Just go ask Rice and the BC coach. SIU didnt look to good against Duke and UCLA not even against a DII school......

I don't care if their center plays or not. I just want a win. If we win, the Salukis will whine about something.

Here's hoping that BT has a break-out game and that someone on SIUC's team walks off the court bleeding or with a sore back. What they have done to KL and others is awful. Our guys are playing tougher than last year but we are not Chris Heinrich tough (loved him picking up a foul every game or so throwing those elbows and sending a message) or Eric Jones tough (loved those hard, blind screens as opponents stood up groggy not knowing what happened).

I say we hold you accountable for your brothers performance. For every game your BT doesn't get double figure points or rebounds or 3 blocks ... you must post a utube video of yourself doing 50 pushups. For any game he does, I suggest Roy do the same as pennance for his negative posts about RM.
