  3. SWIC vs. Kaskaskia on 2-20 Harrellson's #55 audio don't start till the end of the first half. http://americacast.ezstream.com/play/index...3F&from=brd
  4. He was released this morning from Western Illinois.
  5. SWIC got upset in the region 24 tournament championship by Southeastern Illinois on Sat. Over 90 4 year coach's at the the tourney on the first day. Coach's on hand for SWIC's game on the first day looking at Parker was Iowa, Old Dominion, Western Carolina, Morehead State, Iowa State, Nabraska, Witicha State, and Ark Little Rock that I know for sure. Iowa State was back Friday night to watch Parker again and he had one of the best games i've seen him play. http://www.usbasket.com/juco/juco.asp Did not see anyone from SLU but the only coach I know by face is Rick M. Jay Price from Illinois and some other coach I never could see who, was there just for the SWIC game and both made sure Harrellson seen them after the game in the lobby. It's kinda funny to watch a coach make sure a kid see's them with out talking to them. Other D1 schools I seen was EIU, Cleveland State, Maine, Dayton, Henderson State(D1?), SIU, Duquesne, Western Ill, Marist, Minnesota, App State, IUPUI, Western Ken, Murray State, Drake, Illinois State and a ton of other non D1 schools.
  6. Rick is watching Sam Dower a Jr Osseo H.S. 6-8 212LB. SLU offered last month. There's a story on Hoopmasters.com.
  7. >I am not sure any of those other schools have offered or >not. 6-8 240 Takais Brown from Southeastern #5 juco player http://jucojunction.rivals.com/viewprospec...=2&pr_key=31407 6-3 205Tyrone Green #28 http://jucojunction.rivals.com/viewprospec...y=41429&Sport=2

  9. O'Rear 17.7 ppg 259r 101 assists there was a story on O'Rear in the Centralia Morning Sentinel on thursday by Mike McManus This is just a little part of the story. As for trying to compare O'Rear to another player who has passed through this area recently, there are some obvious similarties to former Centralia Orphan Matt Shaw, now a starter at SIU-Carbondale as a true freshman. Much like Shaw did in 2002 O'Rear has helped lead as otherwise senior-dominated team to a state tournament as a sophomore . In his soophomore season, Shaw averaged 14 points, seven rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game, numbers very comparable to those put up by O'Rear. "Time will tell, I guess," said Darrin Lee. "I don't know if that's fair to Lucas just yet because Matt is a great, great player and he was playing against bigger people." "But does Lucas have the potential to become a player like Matt? I think the answer is yes, but he has a lot of work ahead of him."
  10. Kevin Lisch Heats Up, And Belleville Althoff Begins To Soar Ken Rhodes January 2, 2005 Email Questions/Comments To [email protected] Entering the 2004-2005 season, Belleville Althoff and Kevin Lisch were considered two of the best things Southern Illinois had to offer in the way of prep basketball. After dropping down from Class AA to Class A basketball, Althoff was considered the heavy favorite to represent southern region of Illinois, downstate at the Class A IHSA Tournament. Things were looking great for Althoff as four-year starter Kevin Lisch, who has signed to play for Saint Louis University, and Belleville Althoff receiving invites to two of the most prestigious shootouts(Marshall County Hoopfest, KMOX/ Shop-n- Save Shootout), in the country. Kevin Lisch and Althoff somewhat struggled under the bright lights as they dropped both of their shootout games. Althoff began the season with a record of 1 win and 2 losses. Most distressing was that Lisch was not putting up his usual offensive numbers. Lisch's struggles sent the once sleepy town of Belleville into a panic. All seems to be back in order as Kevin Lisch has gone on a six-game tear. As Lisch goes, so does Althoff, as they have won all 6 games. During this span, Kevin Lisch is averaging 31.6 points per game. Lisch's hot streak has seen him put a 15-point 4th quarter burst on Springfield Southeast, and an impressive 20-point 1st quarter effort vs East St Louis. No one in the Metro St. Louis area is playing better basketball than Kevin Lisch as he is currently averaging 26.7 ppg through 9 games. Lisch and Althoff will get a chance to redeem themselves on the big stage when they travel to Carbondale to take on the Terriers in a big time South 7 Conference game slated for Jan 7th.
  11. No I missed the JV game, but was it the same kid that had a few dunks at Centralia? I heard a few people talking about someone from Althoff that played in the JV game but that was it. I agree on what you said about the refs, but hey thats life on the road. Did you notice that our coach didn't even say a word to Moss after the got T'ed up. We've had problems with that all year and not just Moss. Good luck to you guys in the post season hope to see ya in C-dale.
  12. broy just want your take on the c-town althoff game last night. After I seen Shaw's 3 off the mark I put my head down and missed the tip in by Westbrook and was as confuzed as the players on the court to what had happend. Great High School game BTW was that you in the front row across from Althoff bench setting next to a Centralia fan Vince Mack he had a red Orphan pull over on.
  13. billiken roy i will be there also. I would like to meet you and talk alittle basketball. I allways sit by Joey Parkers parents witch is relation. I think it will be a great game. I don't think that Althoff can stop Shaw, and that will be the differance in the game.
  14. Shaw really liked SIU because of Matt Painter. He was the one recuiting him since his soph year, then he becomes the head coach. Rick Moss had a lot to do with it at the end. Matt loves Rick.
  15. Hey billiken_roy you said that Purdue's not recuiting Lisch. Purdue assistant coach Counzo Martin was in Centralia at the Althoff game. Talked to him at half time. At half Lisch had 6 points he said "I don't know about a guy that can't score against a 6-1 sophomore" he was joking around he knows how good Lisch is. Also he said Purdue missed out on Shaw. They recuited Shaw tell he got hurt his Jr year. He was real impressed with Shaw 24pts 20r 6b
