  1. I’m with you, Taj. The bio provided on Rashad when he was on our team states he had played one year at Cleveland State and two at Oakland. Then he had the year with us. Now he is in his 2nd year at UAPB. That makes 6 years. On 4 teams. ????
  2. The day after the first 80+ point game we went to Ladue Crossing Shake Shack. The manager(?) there told us the rule is you must spend $1 on an item to qualify to get a free Shake Shack Burger. That seemed fair enough. We ordered one Burger and one fries, got the additional 2 free burgers.
  3. Except for graduate transfers, the portal closed a while back. So is Noland now entering again? Or is it a case of once entered you can come and go as you please? I’m really feeling like there are no rules anymore. It’s the NFL Relocation Guidelines!
  4. KMOX will have Troy Robertson on the air at 9:45 to discuss.
  5. Just saw that Will Bailey has been hired to be an assistant coach to Frank Martin at South Carolina.
  6. I guess that makes us reigning champions for another year!
  7. I had sent a similar recognition to Joe's daughter earlier today. I will let her know the MBMs are thinking of him as well.
  8. During each sports segment by Maurice Drummond I’ve heard on KMOX this week he has reported that the Bills are “hosting Pitt at Chaifetz.”
  9. The family of Joe Bonwich wanted any members of our message board community to consider themselves welcome to participate in celebrating Joe's life. Below are the details of his memorial service, luncheon to follow, and a scholarship being created and named in his honor. "Dear Friends and Family, A celebration to honor the life of longtime food writer Joe Bonwich will be held this Friday, November 24, at Grbic Restaurant (4071 Keokuk) from 12:30–3:30 p.m. It will follow a public service at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church (7316 Balson) in University City. Bonwich had the longest tenure of any local restaurant writer or critic, and his contributions to the food scene are immeasurable. All of St. Louis—foodies, citizens, scribes—owe a debt of gratitude to the man who worked diligently and often in anonymity. The Bonwich family welcomes all who wish to honor his memory. Anyone wishing to contribute in his name may do so to The St. Louis Press Club Joe Bonwich Scholarship JoeBonwichDonation.html" http://stlpressclub.org/JoeBonwichDonation.html
  10. Unfortunately, this post is legitimate. Our fellow MBM, bonwich, is no longer with us. He passed away today while vacationing in Florida. It was entirely unexpected--he suffered a brain aneurism. I ask all of you who enjoyed exchanging banter with him, and learning from his insights into the newspaper business, to pray for him and his family at this difficult time. He was the son of a SLU business school professor and a fellow alum, with a long history of loyalty to our Billikens. My ongoing Billiken experience will never be the same as I have lost a lifelong friend.
  11. Hopefully it goes according to plan. I remember the great Quicksilver Messenger Service concert at West Pine Gym in the 70's. Everyone waited as the band failed to show....
  12. Clearly an effort to curry favor with more hoops stars from down under: the tuft of hair atop his head replaced with a tiny model of the Sydney Opera House!
  13. In light of the fact that we took both the regular season and the tournament title, should it be: Blitzkrieg at the Barclays, or Blitzkrieg in Brooklyn ?
  14. At the end of Harry Hamm's theatre report on KMOX Saturday morning, he threw in a dig at the Boone County boys. The gist of it was: "There's a new cheer in Columbia today. It goes--M-I-Z, N-I-T." Then he added that the Tigers could learn by watching the Bills, who are showing everyone how to get the job done. They're coming out of the woodwork to hop on this bandwagon.
