Odd that nobody reported about the meeting last night - I guess from the crowd that was there none are posters.

I went and it was fine - not great - First was Lisa Stone and she introduced her staff - 2 are new (husband and wife combo). Apparently one from last year left to be the coach at ILState and another left to become an associate head coach - sorry don't remember where she said. First time I met Coach Stone - she made it a point to come around before the meeting started and introduce herself to many tables - that was a good move on her part. She obviously could not talk about recruiting but did say that they are working the StL area hard and she expects to sign 5 - should be a ranked recruiting class. She said if she can get a kid to visit then the campus and the facilities wins them over. She said if the Missouri game had ended after 35 minutes she would have been happy but the last 5 killed us. She was excited about the Valpo win and is playing 3-4 freshmen all the time so they are a very young team. My overall impression was that she was high energy - not like Shimmy - but her energy seemed to be properly focused. I think she has a great chance to turn that team around.

Crews was next - he is not the entertainer that RM was but seemed more direct in his responses - that would not have been hard to do. He talked a lot about Grandy and how much he has improved and was smart enough to play within his limits last year which showed much maturity. He thinks Grandy will have a very good year. He talked about the 3 freshmen and said that nobody will probably redshirt but final decisions have not been made. He said they are like all freshmen - the game is going really fast for them but he sees all of them capable of contributing at some point. He plans to have a 9 man rotation but who the 9 men will be is up to how they play. RA can really rebound and TL has the ability to shoot well and he has a good basketball IQ. He mentioned MC but not much to really say but he did say that MC is learning much about D1 ball - Evans apparently took him to school during a drill which in itself not unusual but just how dominating he was really opened MC's eyes.. When he was asked about JM - he was kind of non committal. He did not say anything bad per se but I got the impression that he really did not know how his year would go. He expects to sign 5 this period but not all on Wed for various reasons. He may or may not use the 6th one now - it will depend on who the kid is and if he really is someone they want.

May was not there and Hayden took his role.
