SLUBALLS
Watched the game online yesterday. The Rhode Island crew who came in on a 11 game unbeaten streak, top 30 ranking, and first place position in the A10. It's strange saying SLU dominated them because expected more from Rhode Island but seeing as Rhode Island only had one shot on goal, SLU simply manhandled them. We created numerous opportunities but could not find the back of the net. Kristo had one side volley off a Max Karcher cross into the box that nearly split the left post in half as it bounced off the post. Goal came late in the game. Scramble of sorts in the box but Bryce I believe had the initial shot saved and then he followed it up. Up to #13 in Collegesoccernews rankings. SLUBALLS
Let me know if you ever want an explanation of the beautiful game. Love talking about it. I imagine it may be tough for you at first, but seeing as many of the kids I have coached got it, I'm pretty sure we can get it through your thick skull. Now, how does that ignore button work again on here? Ahhhhhh there it is......

BillsCPA
Thanks for the update. Pardon my ignorance, but when would the NCAA tournament games start for soccer? Also I'm under the impression that as long as SLU doesn't collapse they will get a home game, is this correct?
billslasttermdropout
Yeah, pardon me, if I make a detour through Fenton, but I'm seriously ready for some postseason footie! S-L-UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

davidnark
I went to the game -- my first of the year. I was expecting more from Kristo; despite SLU seemingly controlling most of the possession, he couldn't get the ball in good spots. I was also disappointed by my observation that only one player on the field (#23 for SLU) appeared to have any moves with the ball at his feet. SLU has speed and strength at the wings and good size and strength up top, but they seemed to lack a player or two who could take guys one-on-one in the final third. Maybe this was an aberration, but these were my observations from my only 90 minutes of SLU soccer this year.
SLUBALLS
Nark, I agree. Graydon, Kristo, and Lee have the ability to beat people one-on-one but we don't have the same quality of 1v1 players up top that you may see from other schools. I think it was the Louisville game where I noted how Louisville attackers all seemed to be able and very willing to go at defenders.
