St. Joe's Losing Players

Loss of three-star recruit to what I guess are academic problems. Redshirting. Also was surprised to see Papa Ndao is also gone for year with medical issue. Martelli might be on his last legs, maybe?

Highly likely to be correct. Amazing to think they were one rebound away from beating Uconn, who, of course, went on to win it all.

It is always fun to go to a St. Joe's game on Hawk Hill. Those fans are prototypical Philly fans --- the kind that would boo Santa Claus if they saw fit. The times I've been there, the grumbling over Martelli and his many "issues" is fun listening ---- he is still running an antiquated offense based on Nelson and West, he always has a five- and maybe a six-man team, they are required to pay premium prices for a DIII home schedule, and they are always disappointed (save last year) in making the Dance.

If Bembry and Wilson start as expected, that would leave only Aaron Brown and Isiah Miles as holdovers with any kind of court time experience and even that is weak. Shavar Newkirk was supposed to be a big recruit out of NYC but freshmen play less for Martelli than ours did for Crews last year. James Demery is their highest rated recruit out of Charlotte, but agian he's a freshman. Couldbe long year on Philly's Main Line.
