Ridiculous!! The logos do not look alike to me -- different directions, colors involved, eye, lower face... I much prefer Creighton's logo. And shouldn't a logo be similar to the actual bird -- they look like a bird and they are blue and white?

Does anyone even buy anything with a Toronto Blue Jays logo anyway!!

Without the "C," it's pretty close to Toronto's. I just hope Creighton won't copy their bright red jerseys and caps along with the logo. Awful.

For the record, it's probably closer to the last logo Toronto had before they went back to the retro '80s one:

There's no way the hewing and

Won't matter. PETA will pretty soon argue all teams w/ animal names are inhumane and denigrating to the various species. Luckily we'll escape this.

On the bright side, there's no way the animal schools could possibly get any more butthurt than fans of the Indian name schools did when the NCAA made them change. And at least we'd get rid of conferences with two thirds of the teams named "Tigers" and "Rams."

They've been the Blue Jays for a long time, but I don't think they ever used a realistic blue jay head graphic until Toronto came along:

Pretty much all cartoony varsity mascot graphics until the '70s. What's funny, though, is if you scroll down you can see that their baseball team wore direct ripoffs of both the Toronto and Cardinal birds-on-the-bat uniforms in the '70s and '80s. Not sure how they got away with that.

I hope the Toronto Blue Jays lose. The bird designs look distinct to me. Moreover, the Toronto franchise came into being in 1977; I presume Creighton has been Blue Jays longer.

Creighton recently added that logo. The article made that very clear.

It is pretty dumb. I think the two logos are about as different as two blue jay logos could be
