At the end of one tied at 19. Box score list Neufeld with 13 seconds of playing time and a bucket.

I must have missed the basket. That said, he played closera minute and a half and grabbed a rebound. So, I don't know how much to trust the FIBA boxscores.

Gillman? AG has great reflexes and hands; strength is his opportunity.

I think from what I have seen from Neufeld that he has better reflexes than Gillman. I didn't think that Gillman had great reflexes. His were better than the other bigs on the roster, but didn't think they were great. I do think that Gillman has pretty sure hands.

Not to mention Neufeld already looks twice as strong as Gillman.

Canada beats Korea 100-64. Neufeld with 13 and 5 although almost all of his points came in the final quarter when the game was out of hand. Still, it is good experience and playing organized basketball against some of the best teams in the world is a huge help. Hopefully he picks everything up quickly when he gets on campus. Between this and the Bahamas trip, he will certainly be game-ready, but whether he is ready for the mental and physical level of college basketball will be the question.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Neufeld starts from day 1.

Did you watch the game? It sounds like his production is mostly coming once the games are out of hand, but it is still really encouraging that he is on the team and producing regardless of the situation. With our lack of quality bigs, this is certainly a welcome sign.

If anyone wants to watch Neufled playing at the FIBA tournaments, the full games are available in you tube and can be accessed from the "FIBA U19 tournament" site.

I watched the Korea game and I would say his stat line looks a lot better than the actual game. His production came primarily in the final 7 minutes (played a few possessions in the other quarters) when the game looked like a rec center pick up game (he can dunk though which is nice). His points were at the rim and not really contested or from the free throw line (nice stroke from the line). I had never seen him play, so I did not know what to expect. He is definitely more of a true big as opposed to a Rob Loe/Austin Gillmann type. He has a decent body for a freshman big. I am not sure this game helps me set my expectations for him at all, so I will be interested to see him play the next few games against some better competition.

You can tell Neufeld has put in a lot of time on the fundamentals. Good footwork and he keeps the ball high. Not a lot of wasted motion.

Wait wait wait... Are you saying we have a polished, traditional big with size coming in next year??? I smell bull****.
