I'm not sure, but that's my read on the situation. Only thing is that we've known about Macon for a few days, so I think that if he was trying to get on Ford's staff, he didn't get passed over for Macon specifically. I could be wrong though, and it could all be just a situation where he didn't get another job, then saw the coach (Ford) who took over for his former boss. My take is that Wilson had applied for another job — nothing to do with Ford or SLU — and it was just a coincidence that he was sitting next to the head coach of the program he'd just been fired from.
