"@earlaustinjr: Former Mizzou Tiger Cameron Biedscheid and his mother are currently on a visit to Jacksonville State University (AL)."

Sounds like no future in Iona for Cameron.

Wow. This guy really appears to be quite the Rhodes Scholar. Let's get this straight. Cam is a high school graduate of Catholic high school, he receives top local honors for his basketball which he turns into a full ride scholarship to possibly the most prestigious, national Catholic university - Notre Dame where he gets meaningful minutes as a freshmen, his University is set to begin its inaugural season in the ACC (possibly the top basketball conference) where he not only has the chance to play the best schools but to be on national TV alot, then he decides to redshirt his Sophomore season shortly after the rumors that was not happy and would not return to ND but did return to ND. Then, he chooses to leave at Christmas and transfer to Mizzou to play for Frank Haith who was not very popular there, whose team struggled on the court while making regular appearances in court for their poor behavior/choices and who left for Tulsa prior to getting fired by Mizzou. Then, Cam leaves Mizzou without giving Kim Anderson a chance despite saying he wants to play locally. Then Cam announces he is going to Iona -- not local and not good at basketball. Then Cam is rumored to be visiting Jacksonville State? Wow!! How many bad choices can a guy actually make!! Notre Dame to Jacksonville State while sitting out at least 1 1/2 years?

Jacksonville St has a local player, former CBC star Darion Rackley. The OVC recruits St. Louis hard. He may have ties to Rackley and the coaching staff.

I think your missing clock tower's point, torch. Ties to the coaching staff or not,ND to Jacksonville St seems like a dream come true but in reverse.

In our eyes yes, but apparently not in his. There is something to being a big fish in a little pond.

more to the point, Jacksonville St has never made the NCAA tournament...and weren't a D1 program when Cam was born.

while Iona isn't exactly a MAJOR program, they have made the dance 2 of the last 3 years and 6 times since 1998 (that's 1 more than SLU)

and while we're all supposed to hate Mizzou - the fact is that that program is short on players this year, and he could have claimed a huge role on a major conference team in his home state

ND is a perpetually underachieving program that has 1 Sweet 16 appearance in 25 years, and 2-6 in the NCAA tournament over the last 10 years including 11 over 6 upset losses to Wintrop and Old Dominion, a 10 over 2 loss to FSU, and 10 over 7 losses to Xavier and Iowa St.

Part of the college experience is dealing with the reality that life isn't going to turn out exactly the way your 17-year-old self envisioned. Dealing with adversity, taking responsibility for your actions, and adapting to your surroundings. Cam still has time to figure it out, but he definitely needs to suck it up and get with the program...ANY program.

Isn't Jacksonville State that team that had us down 19, playing streetball? Then waka flocka's lookalike fouled cassity hard and we came back and won? This would have been 4ish years ago, I think.

Never mind, that was just Jacksonville. http://www.slubillikens.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=205259492&DB_OEM_ID=27200

What a fun comeback that was to watch.

Do you think that's actually what's going on here? He WANTS to be in a tiny pond like Jacksonville State now? Even if so, if he meant all the stuff he said earlier about playing close to home, he could go to SIUE and get the "best" of both worlds.

Jacksonville University, home of famous Alum Artis Gilmore, is in Florida and a part of the Atlantic Sun Conference. Jacksonville State University is in Jacksonville/Anniston, Alabama (the armpit of the world if you ask me) and plays in the Ohio Valley Conference. The school we beat in 2010 was the Gimore school.

This is a meteroic plummet, if anyone asks me.
