OT: Another silly ranking to argue about

The Jesuit University of the Midwest -- 138

cf. Univ. of Chicago 53, Loyola-Chi. 59 and, best I can tell, no ranking whatsoever for UIUC?!?! (although Circle Campus came in at 86)

*edit: UIUC = 26. They're simply not searchable under the word Illinois. (?!?!)

These rankings are based on service to the public good based on 3 criteria. I think it could be argued that Harvard, Penn, and other Ivies have not done all that well by the public in general. The financial crisis of 2008 was largely caused by the "good ol' boy", read Ivies, bond network that were selling, buying, defaulting, and credit swapping all those mortgaged backed securities. They managed to wipe out or reduce greatly a lot of the public's net worth, while they drove their Beemers and Benzes back to their beach houses in the Hamptons. And being fair and impartial, our last two Presidents were Ivy grads. Ask the folks in Ferguson, Chicago and Bagdhad how much better they're doing these days.
