SLUBALLS
For those interested, found a group of youtube videos from SLU soccer recruits talking about why they are coming to SLU: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=why+i+chose+saint+louis+university Hopefully, we'll see a video like this from JT in the coming months.... slufan13
This recruiting class is stacked by all reports. They lose a lot of talent with Kristo, Manning, Bryce, and Lee and goalscoring will certainly be a question mark, but sounds like they're bringing in a lot of talented and versatile players. It will probably have to be a "scoring by committee" season, but that may be better.
SLUBALLS
Agreed. We haven't had a class like this in awhile. Doesn't mean they all pan out but still nice to have a slew of decent recruits: Anthony Brown • F • Belleville, Ill. - rated the No. 21 forward in the nation as a high school senior by CollegeSoccerNews.comJeffrey Palomarez • F • rated the No. 26 forward in the nation as a high school senior by CollegeSoccerNews.comNash Popovic • F • Rated as the 9th best forward and 46th overall recruit in the country by CollegeSoccerNews.com
Bobby Metzinger
Don't forget Vince Cicciarelli, a redshirt senior transfer from Notre Dame who helped lead the Irish to the 2013 National Championship title against Maryland (although he broke his collarbone in the NCG on a very flagrant play by Maryland). He will add significant size and depth upfront for the Bills (personal note: he dated my sister for three years haha!) http://www.und.com/sports/m-soccer/mtt/vince_cicciarelli_760089.html
slu06
And isn't Eric Davies the starting left back for the Canadian U-18 team? On a side note, is there anyway to order a SLU soccer jersey yet? I really want a long sleeve one.
SLUBALLS
Didn't forget Vince....he's simply not a freshman recruit. Do agree that he and that kid from Evansville will bring experience to help with the team's loss of Kristo/Manning/Lee/Bryce. I saw all three of the MLS'ers were signed by their respective clubs. SLUBALLS
Certainly have never seen this before but I guess McGinty had a fairly solid recruit coming in that won't be playing this year for good reason: http://www.slubillikens.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27200&ATCLID=210226600
