  1. We hope it's a tough walk on Saturday night. <grin>
  2. Oh, OK..... Actually, it's a big day for SIU fans. At 11:00 that morning in Carbondale, SIU plays in the quarterfinals of the I-AA football playoffs vs. William and Mary. There are lots of folks who are making the trip for both games.
  3. Is there some sort of shuttle service from the Grand MetroLink station to Chafietz? A lot of Saluki fans are used to making the trip to St. Louis and taking MetroLink. I've been in Chafeitz a couple of times but not for a Billikens game. Just wondering what's the best/most convenient way to get there.
  4. Do we know when these tickets will be available to the public?
  5. FSN Midwest also has a contract with the Valley, too. That would probably cut into a few games.
  6. I didn't buy it this year so I don't know much about it. They've changed the site around and I can't find a single game deal either. I am not sure what the deal is. It may be that they don't offer the single game deal until closer to the event. I don't know that for sure.
  7. The game video will be streamed on www.salukivision.com I believe that it costs $9.95 for a single game. It's the same company that runs the video feeds for several of the Valley teams.
  8. >You can't wait for the trips to the big cities of Omaha, >Wichita, and Springfield, MO. Yeah, Southern HATES to go there and play in front of 14,000 in Omaha, 11,000 in Wichita or 9,000 in Springfield. They'd MUCH rather go all over the East Coast and play at Fordham or Duquesne or St. Bonnie, where there's maybe 1,000 people there.
  9. > >What is the stadium/crowd like? Is this a really noisy and >tough place to play?? are the fans rabid? 67-3 at home over the past 5 or so years. Two bad losses last year to Indiana St. and Louisiana Tech in the BracketBuster. A loss to Charlotte during the Matt Painter regime. A full house is just under 10,000 in the building. It can get pretty noisy in there.
  10. Thanks. I'll pass on any info if I hear of a time change from the Carbondale end of things. BTW, nice weekend for the Salukis in Orlando at the Disney/ESPN complex, picking up wins over a Big 11 team (a BAD Minnesota squad) and an ACC team (Virginia Tech, first ACC win since 1974). Had a late 5-point lead in regulation but lost in overtime to an Arkansas team that will win quite a few games in the SEC.
  11. Just wondering... Does anyone know if Charter is picking up the SLU-SIU game live on Saturday? SIU now has a conflict with the 2:05 start time with their 1-AA football playoff game at 1:30 in Missoula, MT. Some of us on SalukiTalk were wondering if the game time of the basketball game may be moved to allow SIU fans to watch the game. Thought that if there wasn't any TV involved, it might be easier to get the game time moved.
