way to build alumni loyalty, Father B....

"I've asked friends at other schools, none have had to pay "graduation fees" and these include schools like Harvard, Duke, Michigan and Michigan State." Tough to compare those schools with SLU. People who go to law school at Harvard, Duke, and Michigan pay more money to attend (if I recall tuition at SLU is just over 27k while the others are all near or above 30k). Some of which may be allocated toward graduation. As for MSU law, I'll leave it at that. However, I do agree that notice of this fee should have been at the beginning of the year rather than a month before graduation. -

Just view it as a donation for your first year out. In other words, don't donate for a year. To not donate forever b/c of a $75/$100 fee would be silly. However, I would want to know the specifics of what the money is being used for. It does seem a little heavy. SLU will raise over $150k from this fee. Should be one hell of a graduation. -
Which team is actually a rival with St. Louis?

NACDA director's cup final standings for 2002-2003 1. Stanford 2. Texas 3. Ohio State 4. Michigan 5. Penn State director's cup is given to the overall sports champion. You were right on with Stanford and Texas. By the way, the next Big 12 team after Texas is Oklahoma at 20th. I think there may be a little Big 12 bias just because of where most people on this board live (nothing wrong with that). The Big 10, SEC, Pac 10, and maybe ACC are better all around Division I athletic schools at least by one measure.
