TOP 25 OUR BILLIKENS

Recommended Posts

A few thoughts:

- The LMU game obviously looms large but Vermont is the only modestly scary home game in December (Portland is about to find out how mean Pelicans can be) and we are staring at the possibility of 12-0 and being ranked for at least 4 straight weeks.

- Being ranked IS important. If affects everything ranging from your highlights being on Sportscenter, to recruiting, to casual fan attendance during December. We haven't been ranked since the spring of 1994 so hell yes its important for this program.

If we can get past OK we have potential to go on a serious run,

If we lose however I'm expecting a lot of criticism, but we will not and shall not. BELEIVE!

I'm guessing Florida State and Arizona are going to fall out of the rankings. California might as well and Memphis probably should too but will only drop way down. Out of the current Top 25 teams Duke had the most impressive week.

UNLV will certainly be added to the top 25 and deservedly so. Harvard will also get a lot of votes and deservedly so.

I still think with a win tonight we will be ranked. At this point of the season its not necessary for team ahead of you to lose but rather you can play well and jump ahead of them. For example, Creighton is 5-0 but they certainly haven't "earned" a top 25 ranking the way we would have if we beat OK tonight.

Great post. Duke is most impressive this week. UNLV should be ranked. We need to take care of business tonight. I am not ready for this to end.

I have to think Cal, Arizona, and Florida State drop out of the rankings. People are starting to really take notice of the Billikens so It wouldn't shock me at all if they're ranked. It's a long season though and better to wait until the meat of conference play before really evaluating any teams.
