Recruit (1/7)

  1. Does anyone know how the schedule looks for next season?
  2. From a Notre Dame paper: Notre Dame is scheduled to participate along with the likes of Iowa State, Northwestern and Saint Louis next November in the eight-team Chicago Invitational. The first round is held at campus sites (where the Irish will host) before two games Thanksgiving weekend at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill., a suburb of Chicago. http://www.southbendtribune.com/apps/pbcs....2150360/0/Lives Dayton won this year and Xavier the year before. So that means that an A10 team will win it next year!!
  3. look at min 2:33, a picture from Fox News that was taken at Saint Louis University with Obama and Gov Rod Blagojevich http://www.comedycentral.com/colbertreport...pisodeId=213647
  4. from the DailyIllini Love and Basketball: Meacham and SLU women's standout Lisch to wed http://media.www.dailyillini.com/media/sto...d-3481123.shtml
  5. http://slubillikens.cstv.com/sports/m-bask.../082608aaa.html The Billikens will host Missouri-St. Louis in the inaugural game at Chaifetz Arena on Friday, Nov. 14. Defending Mid-American Conference champion and NCAA squad Kent State visits on Wednesday, Nov. 19, and Boston College comes to town on Saturday, Nov. 22. The Billikens begin a three-game road swing when they travel to Lincoln, Neb., on Nov. 25, to take on a Cornhuskers team which posted a 20-13 record and earned a spot in the NIT. After Thanksgiving, SLU goes to the Motor City on Nov. 29, to face Detroit. December 2 sees SLU head to Carbondale, Ill., for a tilt at Southern Illinois, which is coming off an NIT berth. The Billikens play the first of four straight at home on Saturday, Dec. 6, versus Savannah State. After a Dec. 13, home game against Samford, the Billikens host the first two games of the Findlay Toyota Las Vegas Classic on Wednesday, Dec. 17, versus South Carolina-Upstate and on Friday, Dec. 19, against Liberty. SLU then heads to Orleans Arena in Las Vegas to conclude the tournament against DePaul on Dec. 22 and either Creighton or Fresno State on Dec. 23. The Billikens close out 2008 on Tuesday, Dec. 30, with a game against Maryland-Baltimore County, which won the America East Conference with a 24-9 record and qualified for the NCAA Tournament. SLU's final non-conference game is Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, against North Carolina A&T. The Billikens begin A-10 Conference play on Thursday, Jan. 8, at defending regular-season champion Xavier, one of 10 games against league squads that qualified for postseason play. SLU hosts Massachusetts in the A-10 home opener on Wednesday, Jan. 14. The Billikens will close the regular season at home for the first time since 2004 with a game against La Salle on Saturday, March 7. Atlantic City will host the 2009 A-10 Tournament running March 11-14 at Boardwalk Hall.
  6. the Liberty game is at home on Dec 19 http://www.newsadvance.com/lna/sports/coll..._schedule/7609/
  7. Saint Louis University to Nebraska this winter http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=1200...mp;u_rss=1&
  8. His college coach Paul Swanson at Pensacola Junior College, said Hawaii and Saint Louis (with Rick Majerus) are now among the top options for Parghalava, who averaged about 13 points this season but saw his turnovers increase as defenses focused more on stopping him http://blogs.tampabay.com/usf/2008/03/bozeman-parghal.html Junior college guard Lasha Parghalava was going to go USF, but Heath had told him two weeks ago that if he had other college options, it might be best to go in another direction.
  9. "If the Billikens advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 13, and the semifinals on Friday, March 14, CW11/KPLR will televise the games in the St. Louis area. The championship game airs on ESPN on Saturday, March 15."
  10. UMASS beat UIC 2-1 today and advance to the College Cup. Way to get an A-10 team in the final 4!!
  11. Sam Houston State beat Texas Tech 56-54 tonight
  12. Did anyone see this: "This past season, UConn, LSU, Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri, California, Washington, Akron and St. Louis, among others, were all left out of postseason play. The CBI creates the opportunity for such deserving teams to continue playing and be part of the postseason environment. Attached is a mock bracket with teams that were not invited to the NCAA Tournament or NIT and could have been invited to the CBI last year. (Click here for 2007 mock bracket)." They had us playing Missouri, postseason might be the only way we will play them http://www.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/stories/111407abr.html
  13. Another thing is Blue Crew will be going. We have about a dozen going. We are driving tomorrow afternoon and going to Houston Baptist and Pitt game on Sat and Sunday. Then driving back after the Sunday game in time for class on Monday
  14. Great with doubling our total of last year to 13 on TV. Only complaints is that I wish the BC and Dayton games will be on TV. I guess for those we will have to listen on 590 the Fan.
  15. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but the hangup on SLU’s TV deal appears to be at the league level. There also could be complications to airing Sunday’s game. Comment by Tom Timmermann — November 6, 2007 @ 11:54 pm http://www.stltoday.com/blogs/sports-billi...#comment-242265
