Meet me in Saint Louie, Gibby stay

Before Perkins injury we had a trusted go to finisher; after the injury we floundered until CTF was ousted

Steph Van Bussell has more upside for a longer period of time- there are lots of 6 foot 3 players with better handles who could recognize teamates better than Parker. It did not seem to me the team plus and minus was as good with Parker on the floor. Does someone have those numbers- all I have is a gut feel

There is an I in sincere but not team

I liked Ford- second tier on best head coach after Majerus and Benington that we list to Michigan. Spoon was fun but couldn’t recruit or coach anything but wings and guards. Let us hope we can compete in A-10 the league got better this year and we don’t need Valley quality players or coaches. These densely populated areas are rich with basketball talent I don’t want to see regional state school talent.

Jimerson named 3rd team all-conference

I disagree about can’t defend- I think GJ stepped his game this year and passing, defense, rebounding were team leading in the last 10 games- he did go through an offensive lull when he was getting roughed up by our league opponents- he worked his way out if it. As SVB asserted himself things improved for Jimerson- our other bigs were too soft -
Nothing like a win to bring back the cheering fans

GJ seems to know who he is and is living the dream. Not everyone gets to use his special talent to its fullest. I would not be surprised to see him back next year as player and associate head coach. Talk about having seniority. -

I liked watching Jimerson; if SVB had not broken his leg GJ would have had a much better season. Todays Rhodey game showed what a Big who is decisive and willing to control his space can do to set up the shooters. I doubt Jimerson would have taken the early season beatings with a scrapper in the paint. I hope they both come back -

They are in Terra Haute which may not have a TV market- Evansville has the Purple Aces
-
I believe announcers said first gane 11:30 AM my guess same time as today’s game but that could be 10:30 Saint Louis time??? Check TV guide that day

SLU Billiken fans were late to embrace NIL- Travis Ford and staff did there normal recruitment. The players have changed- they all want to be honored for points made- that is all that matters when bargaining fir NIL. My wife and I have been watching games together for 60 years and she is a quiet person…halftime of Dayton game she went and read a book. We had tickets and we like Hargrove but the game is not what it was.

We lost a tight game by 5 at Dayton- I think we have a good chance to win

Senior Night Needs to Be Before the Game

I hope Gibson announces his return for his final year next year- guy is going to have to start a new major to find classes to take. Maybe the first honorary PHD in the history of men’s basketball- or player-coach
