Bonnies over the Bills by 14 1/2

St. B is a B ...Coming off a big win over St. Joe they have a chance for post season play (NIT)

The Bills (D+ ) will have their hand full for this game. The Bonnies are 2nd in the nation in FT shooting....led by Adams (31st in the nation) and Posley (75th) If it is a close game and we have to foul....we lose. This will also be something a bit different for the Bills. We are use to seeing A-10 teams that don't defend the perimeter much but protect inside. This team will defend the 3 but not as much inside. Things are turned around on offense too. The Bonnies shoot well from the outside...not a great shooting team inside.

Here is what we need to do to win

St B

Slash......37/ 33

Reb ........34

Posley.....15pts

Gregg......39%FG%

Wright.......7 reb

The Bills

Slash..........46/ 33 / 73

Reb..............34

Pts................73

TOs...............12

Deadzones.....0

Bottomline......If we let TOs get out of hand and the sign post up ahead reads "The Dead Zone"...things could get lean in Olean

This will be a tough game for your Billikens. The Bonnies are on a roll.

Wiz, thebonablog .com is looking a Billikens fan to review your team. You do a good job - they're great guys and the Bonnie fans would enjoy your opinion.

As for SBU beating the HATED HAWKS, they were up by 17 with 3 1/2 minutes to go! SJU is an NCAA tournament type team.

The Amish taxis will be meeting your team for the trip to the Heart of the Enchanted Mountain!!!

But, I feel the best game vs SLU will be when the Ladies play on Wednesday Feb 10.

Go Bonnies

Box thanks for posting the video - ya gotta admit it is funny!

The Billikens have been enjoying the spring type weather here in Otterville. They are feeding them well and will be rested up for the game. Coach Crews and his staff have scouted the Bonnies and have your young team ready for the Reily Center rowdies!

Bonnie fans threw out the world have been waiting for the game. There is just something about us underdogs that wait for games lke this. Besides Canisus and Niagara your team is the rival game we can't wait for! Reason being? You always have such good teams!

Go Billikens, beat Dayton and VCU and that St Joes

So close....As you can see by the bold print from the original post FTs down the stretch was one of the things that did us in. ...With 843 left we were up 50-42....We went on to shoot 40% from the FT line (2-5) ...the Bonnies shot 77% (10-13) during the same time frame. But that wasn't the only cause. While there weren't any official dead zones , we did go cold coming down the stretch. Hines fouled out at 514...after that we shot 25%...2-8.

Let's look at the numbers....

St B...............Proj.................Actual

Slash.............37/33..............39/32......Pass...This was close enough

Reb................34....................40..........Fail

Posley............15pts................15pts......pass

Gregg............39%FG.............33%........pass

Wright.............7 Reb...............10..........fail

SLU

Slash............46/33/ 73........40/ 21/ 73...fail/ dismal fail/ pass

Reb................34.......................29.........fail

Pts..................73......................62.........fail

TO...................12......................12.........pass

Deadzone.........0........................0..........pass

Bottomline....Overall not a bad game....1 glaring number though....3 pt shooting...21%....2 more 3's would have given us about our average ...32% and a 3 pt victory. Lest we not forget that this was a 14 1/2 pt spread and we came within a whisker of a win. The moral = Keep turnovers to 12 and skip the dead zones and we can play with anybody...with some average shooting we can win some of those games too.
