Taj79
Despite the fact that major college basketball is not being played at Alma Mater U, Lunardi has started/continued his picks for the Big Dance as always. Right now, three teams from the A10 --- Dayton as a 6, Geedubya as a 10, and VCU as an 11 seed --- are marked for play. GeeDubya is one of the last four in yet gets a higher seed than VCU. Strange. And always the homer, Joe has his alma mater listed in the next four out meaning they need to climb significantly here in the conference season. Had they beaten VCU last week, I'm sure the listing between the two would have been flipped. Shorts of our conference foes and the obvious picks on Wichita State and Louisville, only one other SLU opponent is on the dance card right now ---- North Florida. hsmith19
I can never really root for Dayton or VCU. So that means if GW doesn't make it I will have to root for Grandy and the Grand Canyon Antelopes. They look like a pretty good bet for the WAC bid. HoosierPal
St Joe is in the dance discussion. Davidson and St. Bonnie aren't dead in the water, yet. http://www.bracketmatrix.com/

hsmith19
RI probably isn't dead either...kenpom has them ahead of GW (and Richmond not too far behind).
hsmith19
I'm pretty sure GCU isn't eligible for the NCAA tournament this season. Still? I thought their probationary period would be up by now. EDIT: 2017-18 they're in. Will be interesting to see if a real school picks Majerle up by then.

As a player for the Suns, I loved him:
hsmith19
I mentioned Majerle in the other thread a while back. A bigger NBA star than Cheaney, some actual head coaching experience, and originally a Midwest guy in spite of his connections to Arizona. I am seeing on Twitter that Louisville will self-impose a postseason ban this season. The press conference is scheduled for 1:30 with Pitino, the school president, and athletic director. From the bracket matrix, Louisville was the final 4 seed. Dayton is a 5 seed, Wichita State an 8 seed, VCU a 9 seed, St. Joseph's a 10 seed, George Washington an 11 seed, and North Florida a 15 seed. St. Bonaventure is the 12th team out and Kansas State the 13th.

Bay Area Billiken
Should SLU petition the NCAA to be awarded Louisville's Sweet 16 NCAA Tournament unit for '14?
