HoosierPal
Elliott Welmer will be joining the Billikens next season. His Columbus North HS teammate, Josh Speidel was critically injured in a car accident last weekend. Josh was on our recruiting radar screen before signing with Vermont. We don't know Welmer, and we don't know Speidel. Reports are they were and still are close. Tonight before you hit the pillow, pause a little and pray for our someone in our extended Billiken family. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2015/02/11/josh-speidel-update-columbus-north-accident/23242463/

AlumniFan
Puts our complaining about last night's game into the perspective. Prayers to him and his family. Hopefully, he can make a meaningful recovery.
Pistol
Wow. I hadn't heard this. Horrible news. SLU had definitely been recruiting Speidel but backed off eventually and he committed to Vermont, which seems like it'd be a nice fit in both directions. Here's hoping he makes a recovery. They are moving him to a specialty hospital. Still no "purposeful movement" but he has done some breathing on his own.

Old guy
He needs all the support he can get, make no mistake. He is fighting the toughest fight of his life, let's hope and pray he reaches an acceptable plateau. Rehab is one of the most wonderful and most difficult occupations, those professionals do wonderful things but they cannot do miracles. HoosierPal
The situation is improving for Josh. He is home now and still recovering. He was named as an honorary Indiana All-Star. Neat story here. http://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2015/06/10/josh-speidel-gets-rousing-ovation-on-home-court/71040588/
