Dwayne's_World
This is only their second Elite Eight appearance in program history, but they are a winning program. Mark Few has done a phenomenal job, and kudos to him for sticking with what he has built. Yes, I know playing in a weak conference has contributed to the large number of tourney appearances, but they have been a consistent winner in addition to establishing a nationally recognized name. They should be the model for us. Longevity, consistency. Things SLU has never truly had. Look at these programs like Wichita St and VCU who have also hired coaches that want to stay rather than move on to bigger and brighter places. It is starting to become the norm for basketball oriented programs. We should strive to hire someone similar, someone who will build something here and stick with it. Once Crews retires, it will be on Chris May and the AD to accomplish that, otherwise they should be on the hot seat as well.

doowop
They seem to always find a very good, little, accurate shooting point guard who was not a high school All American. With SLU's recent success and Chaifetz Arena, failure to get above average freshmen or trandfers to come play here is disappointing. Now, I believe the players SLU presently have will develop into above average players before they graduate.
hsmith19
They prove one deep run and making the tourney every year is enough to make everyone feel like you make a deep run every year. Ask a bunch of typical fans and I don't think many would realize they've never made a final four.
