Only a practice but as with many young teams... Protecting the ball leaves something to be desired. Miles has flashes that I am sure we enjoy in coming years. Glaze clearly trying to be a floor leader. I am a Manning fan but I was hoping for more dominance from him today.

So miles and jolly stood out among the frosh, and Ash looked good. Good to hear.

Did the sophomores stand out from the frosh? Anyone look like he had a longer way to go than the others?

Reggie didn't really do too much on offense, but tanner made some real nice shots. Mike looked like a veteran out there

Not sure how meaningful the teams were. But here was the breakdown

Blue Team (Who won)

Bartley

Glaze

McBroom

Yacoubou

Yarbrough

Leazer

Gillmann

Manning

White Team

Roby

Hines

Reynolds

Jolly

Lancona

Hollander

Crawford

Simpson

Agebeko

Not sure if it was for balance, but I was a little surprised that Agbeko and Lancona were on the white team.

Another on players is that is seems Roby has raw talent - but at times looked out of place on the floor. With the right coaching and experience, he could be a very solid player.

Here's my predictions:

Starting lineup:

1 - McBroom (but Miles will eventually take over)

2 - Ash

3 - Crawford

4 - Lancona (or possibly Reggie)

5 - Manning (eventually Jolly)

I think that Jolly will be getting some solid minutes early on, though his defense needs improvement. However, he really surprised me with his three point shot.

Roby is really solid. If he can work on defense, he will be a solid substitution in game for Ash

Miles is a stud. Couldn't complain too much about his performance. He blocked shots, was almost always in the right spot on defense, looked extremely confident handling the ball....There was one point where he drove all the way down the court on transition and made a smooth layup past two defenders. Definitely needs some more work on D, but just an all around great performance by Miles

Ash was dominant on both ends, nothing more needs to be said.

I was hoping to see some improved ball handling from Manning, but he didn't show much in that respect

Grandy made some layups and touched the ball a lot, definitely was a leader on defense. However, I still don't see him in starting lineup

Why RA possibly over TL? Another poster said he didn't show much offensively. Good to hear about MR. Not really a fan of AM starting at PG, although not crazy about a FR there until he gets some minutes under his belt. Ash sounds like the real deal. Disappointed in the comments about JM. Was really hoping for a semi-Conklin summer from him. Jolly a possible replacement for RL? Hope so, that causes other teams match up problems, and we've got more size at the 4 than the previous 3-4 years. Good to hear MC looks like a vet. And very little info on MY, who I think most were expecting to be the real impact FR.

Overall impressions of the night? Everyone have fun? Lot of enthusiasm from the fans? Did JC drive a Harley onto the court?
